Chapter 4

Hey I know I haven't posted in a while. school and everything has been weighing my time. I thought about this chapter for a while. I hope you like it!

LIA'S POV

I spent the day trying to avoid Maria. I know that she is going to try to get me back for "stealing" Vincent. During art, I could feel her death ray eyes burning into my back. I turned around to her and said something out loud that I knew I would regret later.

"Yo Maria, I'm sorry to disappoint you but I'm not into girls, so can you please stop checking me out!"

Maria turned redder than a tomato.

"I'm going to make you regret that you little bit-"

"Maria, go to the office now!" Our elderly art teacher interrupted. (Noticed that I said eldery, old is just mean)

Maria got up and stormed out the room, but not before glaring at me again. Kaylee scooted closer to me and whispered in my ear.

"Why is Maria so pissed at you?"

"She thinks that I like Vincent." I whispered back.

After what seemed like forever she said,

"Well, do you?"

I bet I blushed harder then Maria did.

"I-I don't know. Maybe?" I stammered.

"I don't know Lia. I'm not sure if he's a good guy." she said pushing up her glasses.

Then all of a sudden Joe came out of nowhere. I guess he was eavesdropping.

"Why would she want him when she can have me?" He said teasingly while gesturing to himself. I ruffled his light brown hair.

"In your dreams hotshot."

I sat there the rest of the class, half doing my project, half thinking about what Kaylee said.

VINCENT'S POV

I don't know why but I smiled when I saw Lia walk into science at the end of the day. She noticed that I was staring at her and started blushing. She looked so pretty when she was nervous.

As the teacher talked on and on about our project, I took out my notebook.

You can say I draw good, I say that it's just doodling. Lia was writing notes down in her notebook. Her hair drooped on to the desk. As she concentrated, she bit her lips. I couldn't help it. I started drawing her.

When I finished the teacher called out to the class.

"Now you can can get the information for your projects from the library. I'll give you the last 10 minutes of class to discuss with your partners about what part of the body you will present." Then two boys from the back started snickering.

"Appropriate, body parts only please!" She added.

Idiots. Lia turned to me. She pushed her hair out of her face. Her facial expression showed nervousness.

"So um, what part of the body do you want to make the presentation on?"

I thought about it for a second.

"How about the heart?" I asked.

"Sure sounds good." She started. "Wait, I want to get a good grade on this. Let's work on it after school."

"My place or yours?" I asked nervously. Please don't say it.

"Let's go to yours. My dad will probably be working in the house. He's a writer. He doesn't like it when I disturb him."

Damn it, just great. The bell rung. I got up and shoved my stuff into my bag.

" Ok then, let's go."

{time passes as they walk to his house}

LIA'S POV

He hasn't said anything the whole way coming here. He looked nervous again. We finally stopped in front of a two story house, painted baby blue and red. Looked like a normal home. That's what was weird. I couldn't imagine Vincent living in such a colorful home like this. I wonder what his room looks like. Ahh! Why am I thinking about that?!

We were about to walk in when he stopped.

"Is everything okay?"

He ran his hand through his hair.

" I just need to warn you." He started. "I live with my uncle Lucas and my cousin, Ethan. They are......strange."

I wondered what he meant by that, but my thoughts were interrupted when someone opened the front door.

"Vinny! Oh I see you brought a girl. She looks tasty!"
