Simple Things

It's the simple things that promote me to miss you,

The simple things that fulfilled my heart without effort.

Simple things that I can't forget.

The more we don't speak the more our memories yell to my heart,

Looked through our pictures,

All I can do is smile right now,

That's all I loved to see,

You smile,

And it was because of me.

Every approach was simple,

Yet you left a mark every time.

I abused your opportunity,

And it became memorable.

How simple our conversations were but deeply fallen within,

Guarded and distant,

To fall in love wasn't existent.

Your simple ways made all that possible.

Cause when you kissed me it was the sweetest,

Like you meant it.

Could be over my head,

Could have been just a desire,

But it been desired.

I would watch you and see what could be,

You and me,

The way I get so lost at how you stare at me,

Someone pinch me,

This has to be a dream.

You made no effort on putting a smile on my face,

And if so you exceeded over my limit.

I love how we didn't care,

Act a fool with no remorse.

Made slight crimes,

We for sure would be the perfect partners.

I miss how one touch made my whole body feel like a magnet to you,

I wasn't going anywhere.

You had me by simple things,

Simple things were what made you who you are.

Naturally goofy and nonchalant,

My two favorite characteristics.

We danced around like it was just us,

Freaking like we don't have neighbors,

And kissing like it's our last time.

I'm an affectionist and you were too,

No money could compare to the amount of smiles you put on my face.

I didn't care for love,

But you changed that.

I didn't care for trust,

But you changed that.

Simplicity makes things great,

And you were someone great to me.

It took me what feels like forever to tell you I miss you,

Maybe because I was afraid of you not saying it back or feeling mutual,

But I don't care anymore.

I don't want to leave these grounds without you knowing simple things brought me close to you,

It brought it to us.

You didn't stumble in my life by accident,

As I look back you were always there,

Complimenting me,

Noticing me when I felt invisible,

Comfort me when I felt alone,

Encouraged me when I thought I lost,

You gave me hope.

The simple things is what brought me to this poem.

I love you so damn much,

You have no idea.

I should only love one person this much,

But I see I exceeded my capability by surprise.

They say if you want to move on you have to stop reading the last chapter,

How can I not read the greatest moments to be shared?

I wouldn't change not one thing.

Not the tears you put on my face,

Or the anger you put in my eyes,

Because you showed me love more than the pain you brought.

As I think now,

I just want all that back.

You were scared to lose me but you never did,

Not even now.

If we never speak again,

You'll forever hold a special place in my heart,

I promise.

You got back stage tickets to this heart only for you,

Cause I got love for the first time.

You saw I was broken,

And still had patience.

You didn't make me forget how special I was to you,

Reminded me every chance you got,

Ima miss that,

Ima miss you.

I can't allow someone to love me,

I was a hopeless romantic when it came to love,

And you gave me romance.

I wish we were strong enough to hold on a lil bit longer,

It would have been a honor.

Nights never ended

Our laughter lingered,

Holding me a bit tighter,

If only we were fighters,

We could have took this higher.
