Karamel: another chance

Part 3

On the ship-

 Nia asks,"So Kara. Who is mon-el really? Alex seemed to be saying something different before you cut her off. And you seemed a little too scared about him maybe dying to be just an "Old Friend"" 

Kara look away from Nia and says,"mon-el. He i— was my.. *pauses and takes a deep breath* Mon-el and I used to be a couple. He's from a planet called Daxam. But when the air got filled with lead he had to go because he would have died if he stayed on earth. So I gave him my pod. However, it got knocked into a disruption which spit him out in the 31st century where he had been living for 7 years. But it was only 7 months for us. Two years ago he came back. He had created a team called the legion and got uh married to a woman named Imra Ardeen, she's from saturn. When he came back I couldn't believe it. But I felt like my heart broke into 1,000,000 pieces when I saw him kiss her. But what was the hardest thing for me was that when he looked at me, I could still see the love he had for me in his eyes he tried to hide it.. but it was there. We went to Argo together, just the two of us and uh, we had a really nice time and for a moment I could see a future for us. But it wasn't the right time. I could tell he didn't want to leave again but he had to save the future. He gave me his ring before he left again, it's for in case I needed him. But he needs me right now." 

Nia takes a deep breath and is flustered,"wow. That's-wow. I'm so sorry Kara. You know maybe now that you're seeing him again you could get things going again!"nia says. "I can't. Imra's still in the picture. At least I think.. and plus i don't think it's meant to be." Kara says. Nia smiles and says,"Kara. Listen to me. from what I've heard you loved mon-el so much and you still do even if you don't want to believe it! You have this chance, this-this opportunity to have everything. He obviously didn't want to leave because he's still in love with you but felt he had to go back because that's his responsibility not because he wanted to.."

 The ship hits the disruption and get spit out into the 31st century. Outside the ship window you can see an overview of the city. "Wow." They say in unison. a ship shoots at them and they plummet down the the ground.
