Harry cursed under his breath dropping the diary in the chest and running out the door. He froze into place for a minute when he saw the scene outside.
Patricia was surrounded by five buff guys. She looked so out of place. A fragile soul caught between five mountain-of-men. One of them had his hand balled in a fist. Upon noticing this, Harry ran to the boys. They weren’t much taller than him, but evidently looked stronger.
“Hey leave her alone!” Harry called. The boys turned around to look at him. They sent him smirks. One of them tried to punch him only to be held back by another.
“Al, do you know who he is?” the boy asked. “If we touch him we’ll be in jail!”. Al put his fist down. He growled at Harry and walked away. The other four followed, giving him glares.
Then it was Harry and Patricia.
They awkwardly stared at each other. Patricia’s beautiful brown eyes were red and puffy, and Harry felt responsible.
“Patricia,” he whispered, stepping closer to her. Patricia took a step back. “I didn’t read your diary. It was—“, he stopped mid-sentence. He couldn’t give Liam away. “It was a dare.” He lied. He took another step closer. He wished he hadn’t agreed to her Liam out at all.
“I would never invade anyone’s personal space,” he whispered to her. Patricia looked up at him to see sincerity in his eyes.
“Really?” she squeaked.
“Would I lie to you?” he chuckled. He stopped abruptly upon realising that Patricia had actually spoken to him. “You talked to me,” he said, pointing out the obvious. Patricia smiled.
It was funny how you appreciate the things that don’t happen often more.

Liam paced back and forth, in his bed room. He felt a dozen of emotions inside his gut. Guilt, fright, sadness were just some of them.
Suddenly, he heard the doorbell ring. He jumped and ran down the stairs, expecting it to be Harry. He opened the door and his heart sank a little bit as he saw Patricia and Harry arm in arm, with small, genuine smiles on their faces.
Liam gives them a fake smile and motions for Harry to come to his room. Harry nods and leaves Patricia in the living room, before following Liam to his room.
“What happened?” Liam asked eagerly. Harry sighed and told him.
“Thanks man,” Liam said, hugging him for not giving him away. “But you should’ve told her.”
“What?” Harry mumbled.
“You should’ve told her,” Liam repeated. “I feel so guilty.”
“Why though?”.
“I took her diary and she thinks you did it.” Liam said.
“It’s OK”. Harry shrugged. “Don’t tell her.”
“I have to.” Liam said, walking out of the room.
Hey! You like? Comment if you want Liam to tell her or not! :D :D :D :D
