Chapter 8

It was now late at night and everyone was currently getting ready for bed, Nel of course was staying with Nnoi in his room. The two said Goodnight and went upstairs as everyone else decided to stay in the living room. After deciding who would sleep where did they all finally agree to turn off the lights. Saya was on the sofa, ulquiorra on the recliner, Grimmjow in a corner of the room, Stark was for some unknown reason passed out under the dining room table, and Syazel was sleep on the love seat. However it wasn't long before Nnoitora and Nel came downstairs and found a spot on the floor in front of the tv.
After a few good nights we're said did everyone slowly begin to fall asleep.
Saya however was the last to fall asleep. She always had a hard time falling asleep when she wasn't home, mainly because she was always highly aware of everything around her. There was also the fact that Grimmjow had also spent the night and she stared wasn't expecting that, then again she really should have since he knew Nnoitora for as long as she basically did.
After a bit of tossing and turning did she finally succumb to a deep and dreamless sleep, or well it was almost dreamless.
     *dream State*
Saya was walking around in a seamlessly abandoned park,
Almost no one was there, in fact....she didn't see or sense a single person. Looking around she noticed how everything seemed to be the same. Walking around some more she chewed on her lower lip when she heard a soft laugh. Looking startled she tried to see if she could find the spot the voice came from but alas there was no such luck.
Walking once more she heard the same laugh except this time it spoke. "You're so close Saya...." she blinked "where are you? Who are you?!" She was frantic now, no one was in the park so where was this voice coming from. "Come now Saya, you know who I am." She frowned as she tried to identify the voice but she couldn't, she couldn't even remember hearing it before. "No I don't." It was silent for a moment before the voice spoke from behind her. "You do. Deep down you know exactly who I am." Letting out a startled cry she turned around only to see no one was there.
"Where are you?!" She gelled again. "I am everywhere....and anywhere..." saya chewed on her lower lip, she was suddenly afraid. Something she hadn't been since she was a little girl. "Stop talking in riddles!" The voice laughed and it echoed all around her. "Then find me, search for me, only when you stop being afraid will it all make sense." Looking around some more she hugged herself, she was terrified, who was this voice and how did it know so much? "You're talking in riddles!" "It's only a riddle because you're not there. You're still to afraid to learn the truth. When will you stop hiding from it Saya Zetsubō?" Her eyes widened, how did this voice know her full name? "Well? Answer me Saya! When will you face the truth of that day! When will you stop being afraid! You know me Saya Zetsubō. As I know you..I've known of you since the day of your birth." Saya was trembling, the voice knew to much. "You're hiding from the truth! You're hiding from what really killed your mother! When will you wake up and face the truth of it!"
     *end dream*
Before saya could answer the voice she woke with a violent blood curling scream which immediately woke everyone else. Sitting up she wrapped her arms around herself and trembled, the dream slowly fading from her memory all but the words 'find me Saya Zetsubō and admit the truth' slipped away. No one moved for a moment all to shocked at what had just happened. However it was Nel who snapped to her senses first and ran over to a now traumatized Saya who was hyperventilating as she dug her nails into her arms.
Grimmjow was also next to her placing a comforting hand on her shoulder. "Saya...saya what happened? What's wrong?" Nel was panic, her voice Heavy with sleep but she was to worried about Saya to even think straight. "A voice...a weird voice...." a few people blinked. "I can't remember....i can't remember the dream...or was it a nightmare?" She wasn't making sense and she knew it but she honestly couldn't find it in herself to care.
"Easy Saya, it sounds like you had a horrifying nightmare and to protect yourself your mind is subconsciously suppressing it." She looked at Nel and she almost flinched at the horrified look in her sisters grey eyes. "Come on...why don't you come cuddle with me and try to sleep some more." Saya shook her head no as she knew Nnoi wanted to hold Nel. "You sure?" "Yeah..." Nel sighed but walked over to Nnoi after once again making sure Saya was calm enough. Nnoi quickly pulled Nel against him but kept his one eye on Saya, she was clearly shaken up, why she didn't just agree to cuddle with Nel was beyond him, hell he would have easily laid on the other side to protect the girl.
Shaking his head he gave a pointed look to Grimmjow who nodded back answering the unspoken question. Even stark who had been under the table came out and moved completely into the living room and was now laying closer to Saya. "Try ta sleep 'kay Saya?" Saya weakly nodded and watched as everyone else slowly fell back asleep, she knew they would ask her again in the morning but by now she had completely forgotten everything but that sentence.
She went to lay back down when she realized Grimmjow hadn't moved away from her so she looked at him. "Ya can lay yer head on mah lap, ya had a horrible nightmare and it might help ya." She blinked. "You aren't gonna think that's weird?" He snorted. "Nah, ya need comfort and that's the only way I know works." She blinked as she moved closer to him. "I remember one thing." He raised an eyebrow. "Whats that?" "A sentence." He stared at her and watched how she looked around to make sure everyone was indeed asleep before continuing. Once she was sure did she look at Grimmjow again. "A voice, it was telling me to find it and admit the truth." He blinked equally confused. "The fuck?" "I don't know, I don't remember anything before that."
He wrapped an arm around her and carefully pulled her close allowing her to lay her head on his shoulder. "Does this happen often?" She blinked as she struggled to stay awake and to focus, she was still tired after all. "This is the third time...and each time it's the same. I forget the second I wake up. This is the first time I remember something." He frowned not liking the sound of that, and the way she screamed....it unnerved him. Deciding he really hated to hear her scream he shifted and leaned his head back closing his eyes. "Well I'll keep ya safe 'kay?" She hummed in agreement and within moments they were both asleep, this time with them both hoping that nothing else would wake them till morning.
