Chapter 15
"So because of you idiots...we just lost our sister?!" It was Nel who yelled and both men flinched. "She was in trouble, I wasn't thinking." "And whats your excuse!" Grimmjow flinched. "I didn't know it was her house I wanted to find Nnoi and tell him I was gonna go after Hal and that's when saya saw me. And she fucking hates us right now." Nel felt very lower lip tremble, to know that Saya now knew the truth had to of hurt the girl and she couldn't stand knowing her sister was in pain.
"She probably feels like all of us betrayed her." "To which we kind of did..." they all sighed and looked down, they should have told Saya the truth from the very beginning. Ulquiorra punched a wall and cursed which shocked everyone. "She needed us....we let her down....now how the fuck do we fix it?" Everyone was silent at this point until they all heard a deep sigh.
"What did you idiots do now?" They all turned and blinked at the sight of Urahara. "Urahara!" "Yeah, Im here too. I can't get ahold of Saya and figured one of you dumb asses could tell me why." Nnoi sighed before he explained everything. "So, let me get this straight. She learned the truth, admitted a hollow killed her mother, was attacked by Lolly, learned what you guys possibly are, saw it, feels like she's been lied to her entire life, to which she was partly, and now hates every last one of you with a passion." "That....that sums it up."
Urahara rubbed his face and groaned. "You're all god damn idiots. I'll give her a few days to calm down, make sure no ones lingering either. Then I'll go and talk with her." Nnoi slowly nodded at this. If anyone could fix this, it would Urahara himself. "By the way, whose bright idea was it to tell her she was just like you idiots?" "Erm....it kinda just slipped." Urahara groaned his job was now a lot harder then it needed to be.
"Right, I'll see you idiots later, I'm gonna go make sure the area she's in is alright. Then I'll give her space and In a few days I'll bring her coffee, her favorite snack and then I'll talk to her." Without waiting for anyone to agree he left, and they all seemed slightly relieved, if anyone could make saya see reason it was him, he was what brought her back from her lost and depressed self, and he is the one who helped her find her passion for writing, so they could only hope that he would be able to explain this to her.
A few days later
True to his word Urahara had made sure Saya's house was well protected before he left her alone for a few days. And that was hard as hell, he had heard the way she had been crying and it took all of his control to not break open the door and hold her.
He stopped by the local coffee shop and got her a coffee and himself one before he left to head for her house, in the bag he had one of her favorite snacks and now all he could do was hope she would listen and let him in. She was a very hard person to approach If one wasn't careful. And he knew that from first hand experience.
*flashback*
It had been a month after she had started to live with Nnoitora and he had been waiting for the right time to talk to her, but every time he tried he was pushed away and basically told to fuck off. That she had no intentions of speaking with him. After a few days of trying he finally found a way to make her talk. And it just happened to be because he had onigiri. He had seen her looking at it occasionally and that's when it clicked in his mind, that she was probably hungry so he handed her one and it shocked the hell out of her.
"Here you keep looking at it and I made to much so why don't you eat some?" He saw the hesitation in her eyes before she slowly took it from him and bit into it. "Good huh?" She slowly nodded and he chose that time to speak. "I know you're hurting Saya." She flinched at this and went to leave but he stopped her. "No, you need to eat and listen for once." She scowled but Sat down none the less. "You're hurting and that's normal, but we all care for you, none of us want you hurting like this, you're like my daughter." She blinked at this. "I always wanted kids but never found someone i loved to settle down with." Saya snorted at this yet it lacked any emotion. "Oh? What was that for?" She was silent for a moment before she finally spoke her voice was raw and raspy from lack of use.
"Love is a sham, it's a lie people tell each other." He frowned at that, how did she have that mindset at only 16 years of age. "Now who said that?" She glared at him and he finally saw anger in her eyes. "It's true, if love was real would my father have hurt me the way he did? Would he have abandoned me when I needed him if Love was real?" His frown deepened at this. "Your father....is a horrible man Saya, he wasn't deserving of a daughter as kind and as loving as you. Love is something everyone is born with, and everyone is capable of."
She finished her onigiri and he simply put more in front of the girl. "Eat." She scowled But did as she was told. "Ya know....you're a really talented writer." She blinked one she wasn't prepared for the topic change and two how did he know she wrote? "I saw a book of yours by accident, the entry caught my eye and before I knew it i was already done reading the passage, I felt like I was really there ya know? In your story." She blinked "Im sorry I read it without asking but it's really good, have you ever considered writing for a living?" She blinked again, because she had never thought of it, no she thought she would of been dead at this point.
"No....I actually never thought of it.." "why not?" "I always thought I would have been dead by now." He flinched at this, this poor girl was hurting and it was now his job as her father to fix it. "Well you're still alive Saya. And I really think you should try to publish the story if it's done, I even know a company..." he saw it then, the wheels turning in her mind as she thought it over. "Hmm alright I'll give it a shot." He grinned "great we'll go see them tomorrow okay?" She nodded and for the first time in a long while he saw a smile on her face. Smiling in return he nudged her to finish eating and watched as she laughed but ate. Feeling a sense of relief he too also ate and the two talked with no more hesitation between them.
*flashback end*
He was now standing in front of her house and raised his hand to knock on the heavily damaged door, sighing he knew he would have to replace it for her so nothing bad happened he waited only a few moments before the door opened to reveal a very tired and heartbroken girl and his heart broke at the sight. With a sigh he reached in and held the girl to him. "It's okay Saya, Dad's here now....it's okay." And with that she broke down crying once again and he felt an urge to go and beat the two idiots bloody but knew that would solve nothing, because right now, right now he had a child to console and a hell lot of explaining to do.
