A/n. I unpublished this a while ago because I got comments about how I said she was a "fake American" I read it back and realised I should have straight up said she's British because an inspector calls is a British play. I'm sorry for the confusion.

Another boring day of school and it had only just begun; and much to my surprise I had lessons with the one person I was trying to avoid, chase hudson. We had a moment at a party on Saturday night, but he thinks it's more than a moment. Yes, I did like him but could I ever date him? No. I couldn't do it because my parents never liked him even though he's been my brothers best friend since day one. Plus I didn't want to betray my brother by dating his best friend.

-time skip to 1st period-

"Welcome class, I hope you had a well relaxed weekend and are now ready to prepare for your exams"

A few people groaned and sighed but exams weren't a big deal for me. I didn't understand why the rest of our future should be based on a number on a page.

"Now today we're going to be studying An Inspector Calls"

"Y/n would know all about that since she's fake American"

Great here they come. The snarky comments from the most 'popular' girls.
Everyone's attention was caught by the door where chase was fighting with...my brother. Oh god this can't be good.

I jumped out of my chair and swung the door open making them both look at me before continuing to fight.

"Stop it both of you!"

"I swear if you don't get off of each other I will knock you both out!"

They stopped punching each other and stood up.

"Y/n, chase, Zach, principles office. NOW!"

I grabbed my bag and stormed off to reception. Being followed by my brother and his best friend was always awkward and now was no different.

---time skip---

Zach got suspended from school for a week which meant I had to collect his work for him, chase basically got yelled at a lot and I got nothing because I wasn't involved. Although all three of us we're told to take the day off to sort out whatever drama was going on so it didn't happen in school.

I stormed off to my locker before shoving my books in and grabbing my headphones.

"Y/n can we talk about what happened please?"

"Nothing happened chase"

"Saturday happened, whether you like it or not. You can't just completely forget that it happened"

"I'm not doing this here, lets walk"

We walked down the street to a near by diner and found an empty booth.

"What do you want to drink?"
"Strawberry milkshake please"
"Make that two please"
"Okay. Anything else"
"No thank you"

After the waitress walked off he looked back at me.

"So what did Saturday mean to you then?"

"Look y/n Saturday meant everything to me. Just the minor thought of even getting a chance with you made me the happiest I've been for a while. And I know that your brother wouldn't accept it or whatever but I have feelings for you and I can't get rid of them."

"I have feelings for you too chase but I can't do that to Zach. He thinks highly of you and I don't want you to fall out because of his 'little sister'"

"Why don't we keep it secret for now?"

"Fine, but if he finds out I swear I'm moving to the other side of the country and deleting all traces of me"

He chuckled before walking round to my side of the table. What was he doing.
"Y/n, will you be my girlfriend?"
"Yes"

We both smiled simultaneously before he lifted my head with his finger and placing his lips on mine.

" thank god"

"You know I've liked you for a while"

"I've liked you for a while too"
