Unknown POV

Darkness... it's just black, lonely emptiness everywhere I look.

Or are my eyes closed? I can't tell anymore,  it's been so long since I've seen the light.

I can't feel anything, but I can hear voices... no, growls and hissing, but no words.

Am I trapped with animals?

Who left me here?

Am I dead?

I don't feel dead, but then again, who knows what death feels like anyway.

Hmmm.... I feel tired, like when you get up too early in the morning and go to bed reeealy late and throughout the day you're constantly nodding off to sleep kind of tired.

I'll just rest for now, since there's really nothing I can do at this point.

I can't move, can't speak, can't open my eyes.

All I can do is sleep. Sleep while listening to the constant growls and hisses that surround me...

Not that I could shut them up anyway.

Guess I'll just sleep for now.

Sans's POV

It's been 2 years now that we've been set free by Frisk the human and none of the other humans have turned on us, which is an honest releaf on our part.

Everyone went on to fulfilling their dreams, some went travelling to other places while others just stayed put and found work. Paps and I still live together and visit the others whenever we have the chance.

Honestly it's nice to have a new slate on life, you could almost say that it was boned to happen (Heh!). However, despite all the good things that have happened to us so far... there's something that's been bugging me,  it's been sitting on my bones for a few days now. I just can't shake the feeling, but can't pin point it either... I'll go looking back in the Underground for some answers to this feeling.

Lying on the couch with my head on the arm rest, I couldn't help but think about our old home and how life used to be when we were trapped down there. Part of me wants to forget about it, but the other part doesn't want to forget the home I grew up in... and that gets me thinking for hours.

But, I guess there's no dwelling on the past now is there?

"SAAAANS!!!!"

The voice of my younger brother, Papyrus the  skeleton, rings throughout the once quiet house.

Gotta give him credit for putting up with me all these years, then again, I am the only family he's ever known.

"GET UP LAZY BONES!! YOU'RE GOING TO BE LATE FOR WORK!!!"

He screeches at my sprawled out form on the couch while towering over my lazy form. Yes, I'm not afraid to admit that I'm lazy, but I have my reasons for not wanting to put these old bones to work. Smiling lazily up at him, I give him a lazy wink.

"Sup bro."

I say with a smile  on my face, Papyrus just lookes irritated with me and huffs in annoyance. Proceeding to lecture me about tardiness and how it's important to work and to be presentable to my co-workers and so on and so forth.

"Sure thing bro."

I say before getting up to go and get dressed for my job. You see, since I excel in science and magic, the humans have placed me within their labs to help test chemicals and create new cures for diseases, not that it's easy or anything.

This line of work is hard and takes lots of time, but due to my expertise, I don't really have to work as hard... just to look over the others and make sure that they're doing a proper job while not endangering themselves or anyone else working around them.

Opening my bedroom door, it's just the way I left it. Messy and unkempt... guess Paps gave up trying to clean it back when we lived in the Underground. Guess I finally got under his skin, heh! I crack myself up! Okay, okay, I'll stop before it gets outta hand!😥😅 (I am so bad at this guys!!😭😭😭 forgive meeeeeeh!!!!)

Anyway, dressed and ready to go, I teleport to the labs entrance for another day of work.

Who would have thought that the events of today's discovery would have awoken the beast that had been hiding among us all this time and granting the freedom of a person who'd been "dead" for hundreds of years.

No pun intended. This time.
