Sans's POV

When Toriel gestured for us to see who was waiting at the stairs...

I was not expecting to see the sight I just saw.

Heh! I love puns.

Her tan skin was pure and untouched, her hair was as white as the purest colour and looked like it was made from the finest silk made only in the heavens. Her outfit still looked weird, but it actually kinda... suited her.

The one thing that stood out the most for me was her bright aqua-blue eyes that seemed to shine with a playfuly-mischievous glint... however, they had a sharpness to them. Like they had seen horrors far beyond anyone's wildest imagination.

And boy! Does she have a voluptuous figure, I'm surprised that no one has come knocking on Tori's door asking for her hand in marriage... buuut, knowing Tori, she'd probably scare them off before they can even get their foot inside the doorway.

"Well, are you going to keep staring at me like I jumped out of a portal and claimed that it was the end of the universe as we know it... or are you going to ask me all those questions that you have bubbling inside those skulls of yours?"

Her voice was as smooth and sweet as sweetened cream seasoned with butterscotch and cinnamon. You can't blame me, Toriel's pies are to die for, (heh! Punz), but I had never heard a voice like hers... for some weird reason, I feel like I've seen her before... like we'd met before this, but I can promise anyone that I'd never seen her before in my life.

So why does this situation feel so familiar? I don't recall this happening in any of the timeliness back in the Underground. So... why am I feeling so....

Nostalgic?

As I was about to answer her question with a pun, Paps beat me to the punch.

"GOOD MORNING HUMAN, MY NAME IS PAPYRUS AND THIS IS MY BROTHER, SANS. WE FOUND YOU ON MOUNT EBOTT A FEW DAYS AGO, YOU WERE UNCONSCIOUS AND HAD A SEVERE CONCUSSION AS WELL AS SOME BRUISING.

WOULD YOU MIND EXPLAINING WHAT YOU WERE DOING ON THE MOUNTAIN AND WHY YOU WERE UNCONSCIOUS WHEN WE FOUND YOU?"

I, honestly, was very thankful for Paps's straightforwardness when it came to asking questions. Don't get me wrong, I can do an interrogation... but not when your friend and brother are in the same vicinity as you, you tend to get interrupted and judged a lot.

Harsh reality, I know.

Thankfully, the girl just nodded her head and gracefully gestured her head toward the dining area of the house.

Looks like we're finally going to get answers to all these questions.

Kye's POV

These were two of the voices I'd heard that day when I was blindfolded.

I can feel their burning questions, despite them not saying anything... I honestly didn't expect them to be skeletons. For one, how does a skeleton have a voice if there are no vocal chords to produce sound from, nor do they have the lungs to produce the air current to flow through the vocal chords.

But my questions are not the ones burning here...

"So, where are ya from kiddo? Don't be vague, just give us straight facts."

Sans, the shorter, but older, skeleton brother speaks up first in a smooth voice that sends shivers up and down my spine. Something I had never felt before, which was actually very strange to me... probably due to me being trapped in there for so long.
