Sorry for having all these author's notes, but something happened to a friend of mine at the university I'm studying at.
So, because of the industry that I'm in (music) the environment is very tight and toxic due to the competition for jobs and such. However, what happened to my friend should not happen to anyone, male or female.
She was given an assignment to do with a fellow musician, at first it started off normal and then one day he just came into her practice room and touched her inappropriately. Like I mean, full on groped her privates.... now, where I come from, gender based violence is a huge thing.
Women are being harassed left and right, children are dying and some men are sick enough to do this to us.
My point is that you should never be afraid to speak out, because your rights are being violated.
You have every right to report whoever puts you in that position to the police and have them arrested for sexual harassment.
This is not okay, and this message goes out to all my people reading this book.
