Sans's POV
The air in the house is tense, full if nervous energy. Paps and I haven't said a word since last night's discovery, and honestly, I miss the usual loud atmosphere that we used to have in our home. Being in the quiet like this... it's worrying.
Not being able to take the silence a moment more, I decided to speak up.
"Paps, what's on your mind? Why are you so quiet?"
I put the question out there, wanting to get straight to the point. Luckily for me, Papyrus was feeling the same.
"I-I'm sorry Sans... I just, just feel so.... guilty for last night's incident. I should have tried harder to stop myself from breaking the runes against your bedroom wall. I... just feel.... so.... helpless and useless."
Well, at least he's being honest.
Sighing in relief and frustration, I decide to ease his troubles and reasure him. Unfortunately, that was the moment Undyne decided to make her ever so bold entry by kicking open our front door and yelling at the top of her lungs.
"SAAAAAANNNSSSSSSS!!!!!! PAPYYYYYRUUUUUUUUSSSSSS!!!!!!! GET YOUR BONY ASSESS READY IN THE NEXT FIVE MINUTES BEFORE I DO IT FOR YOU!! WE'RE GOING ON AN EXPEDITION!!!!!!"
I swear Undyne has no filter when it comes to swearing and no volume button to her voice. We both get up and head to the lounge to find that Alphys and Undyne have made themselves at home... that's always nice.
When we entered the lounge, Alphys spoke up.
"Ah g-good, you're already d-dressed. Hope you're r-ready for th-this, because we might not l-like what we f-find up there on Mt. Ebott."
She stuttered out, which surprised me quite a lot. The last time I heard her stutter was when we were trapped under Mt. Ebott by the barrier that the humans had used to seal us in.
"Since when did you start stuttering again Al?"
I asked her softly, concerned for her wellbeing.
"E-ever since last night's i-incident."
Sighing, I can't disagree with her there... I also felt uneasy. I looked at her again before looking in Undyne's direction and back.
"Undyne already knows what happened, told her everything you told me that happened last night. Sorry for not letting you know, I figured we'd need the extra h-help anyway. "
She explained, to be honest, I'm actually happy that we have Undyne with us. We stand a better chance of surviving against whatever inhabits the forest of Mt. Ebott. Especially now that that dark cloud has surrounded the forest area.
"Okay, lets go."
I gave the order and we headed out to the one place we escaped from and vowed to never return to.
I hope that this is all worth it.

Unknown POV
The demon that stayed behind is now trying his luck with killing me.
I may have been asleep for a really long time, but it doesn't mean that I've forgotten how to fight. Sure, some of my strength has dwindled, but I still got it.
"Try your luck Girl, but you will never defeat the likes of me"
He rasps out in a disgusting voice that actually hurts my ears just listening to him speak.
"Ha! We'll see about that tiny!"
Enraged, he charges right at me. I manage to dodge last minute and roll to the side before facing him again. Breathing heavily, he turns around and swings his tail like a giant, extendable battering ram... too bad I saw that one coming a mile away.
Ha! I can be funny.
His roar of anger and frustration echoes throughout the atmosphere and gaining the attention of the mindless demons under his control. Soon enough it's not just the two of us fighting, but it's turned into me fighting an army of them plus the demon I was originally fighting.
Oh dammit! He just had to make my life harder didn't he?
Quickly, I managed to summon my weapon before the first wave of demon lackies hit.
Killing them left and right, heads and bodies flying everywhere. But there were just too many in one small area of the mountain.
I need to get to clearer ground... there's no space to move here.
Desperate to escape from this battle, I made a last minute effort to ditch by jumping off the edge of the mountain.... however, the tentacles of one of the demons grabbed hold of my ankle as I jumped off... causing me to slam into the rocky side of the mountain. Successfully dazing and disorientating me before dropping me to fall the rest of the way down.
The head demon not far behind me.
I have to lose him somehow!
Soon enough, we were sprinting through the forest, dodging trees and strikes from each other.
Soon enough we made it to a clearing in the forest. On a rock face that you could clearly see a small town ahead. Dodging attack after attack from this menacing demon, I decide to get serious... I'm starting to grow tired of him.
I finally fight back with my weapon, and to say that he was caught off guard was an understatement.
~~~ one hefty fight sequence later~~
He was on the ground, injured and panting from the exertion it took to fight me while I stood in a fighting stance with my weapon poised at the ready. From an outsider's perspective it would appear that I'm not even tired, but looks can be deceiving... I'm exhausted to the bone.
But I have to keep this up, so he doesn't get the jump on me.
Soon enough, there were his little army again, waiting for his command. He sent a few to attack me, and by "a few" I mean a good 20 to 30 demons that are damn fast and good at hiding in the dense forestation.
While they were attacking me, he made his escape with the help of those that remained.
Huh, smard decision you overgrown lizard scorpion... thing.
The tiny demons started their attack by jumping at me from different sides, but due to my sharp reflexes... managed to kill them as they approached from their hiding spots. Once all of them were dead, I just couldn't hold myself up anymore and collapsed on the stone face and lost consciousness... but I could hear the approach of other beings.
Well, I guess this is it... how sad.
I only managed to hear a few things, but my brain was too exhausted to process them. My eyes started closing, but I could see skeletons and some other beings.
I couldn't help but think...
They look familiar somehow
Before everything went black.
