Todoroki POV

I had seen Kirishima give a key to Bakugo and to be honest it hurt. More than sharing a cabin with him. But I needed to focus, distract myself, figure out a way to forget about it, about him. He had clearly moved on, he didn't want me and I would have to accept that. We heard the alarm signalling the start and the class separated into our assigned groups.

Once we knew there were no 'villains' around we started to form a plan. "Me and animal guy will be the attack Shitty Hair and Icyhot will be our defense" hearing him call me that in the way he did made my chest tighten and I felt like I was going to have a heart attack. Stop it Shoto it's obvious he doesn't like you, maybe he never did, maybe, he just felt sorry for you because of what you tried to do.

"You listening half'n'half bastard?" I nodded being unable to form words in the moment. "Good" Bakugo snarled at me. Maybe being defense won't be too bad after all at least that was what I thought. The first two flags were found easily. Getting past Present Mic and Midnight was the difficult part.

Either way we managed it. Bakugo catapulted into the air in hopes of finding the next flag. "Just up the mountain, I couldn't see who was guarding it but there's definitely flags up there" we followed him to the base of the mountain. That was when someone flew above us and grabbed me carrying me high into the air.

I didn't need to look to know it was Hawks. I used some flames to burn up some of his feathers on his back and he slowly started landing "smart boy" he laughed. I had no idea where I was and where the rest of my team were. "I need to speak to you later" Hawks said before he left me there and flew off probably to pick on someone else. What could he possibly want to talk to me for?

I made an ice pillar underneath myself so I could get a better view and saw my team. I hadn't gone too far, just far enough for Ms Joke to get a shot at the rest of my team. I sent ice from a distance to distract her. The second her attention turned to me the team stopped laughing. It wasn't long before Ms Joke ran away indicating we had defeated her.

"Thanks Icyhot" Bakugo mumbled before we started to head up the mountain and grabbed the third flag. "One flag left" Kirishima cheered. We just needed to find it.  "Hey I think there's something over there" Koda pointed just past the edge of the trees after what felt like hours of wandering through the woods.

We could all see it. The flags, all five of them. Completely unguarded. Something didn't feel right. They went running but I saw something that made me freeze in my tracks. Fire. That could only mean one thing "FINALLY A CHALLENGE" I heard my father yell at my teammates.
