The time said 7:30PM as I grip the steering wheel in my police cruiser, I take glances at the GPS where I had punched in the address my mom gave me.
It seems to me this so called address was taking me way into the country suburbs of Chicago, nevertheless I was only a couple miles from my destination.
"Destination Arrived." Announced the GPS, as I pulled in front of the entrance gates a glimpse through the gates bars made me realize this was not a normal house, like the one I live in with my wife. No, not at all, it was a huge mansion; the big heavy steel gates had the letters LAWSON inscribed into the gate itself, the two big pillars that were made of bricks had two lamps that were made of cast iron steel.
Oh yeah. I thought. How could I be so daft? My family are billionaires, as they own Lawson Enterprises, a well known, iconic successful company that deals with high end clients for the property market.

I notice a keypad situated on a pedestal adjacent to the gates, I pull up beside it as I flick down my window, I push a button that had a picture of a phone representation and waited for an answer.
As I waited, I noticed two security cameras pivoted on atop of the pillars the gates were attached to, they moved side to side as if scouring the area for intruders.
I noticed one of the cameras do a 180 degree turn and focus in on me as if it were being controlled by a person, "Hello, may I help you?" came a female voice.
The keypad has a little camera situated above it, so I'm pretty sure whoever is on the receiving end is getting a good look at my face.

I casually take out my work ID and hover it in front of the camera so they can see, "Special Agent Jake Lawson, CIA."
"Oh, you're Lisa's son, sorry Mr. Lawson, yes you may come in, I will get the gate for you."
I tuck away my ID, as I reply. "Thanks." The big iron gates started opening inwardly, as I drive on through.
As I drive up the at least a mile long driveway, I can get a better looksee at the mansion, it was HUGE, it wasn't like those modern mansions you see in Malibu or Hollywood, it had the old fashioned castle theme to it, but still had a modern vintage look to it, elegant light posts ran the length of the driveway, evenly spaced giving the driveway a glow of a city street, the lights were on in the house, the lights brought out the color and made it look more majestic.

I continue to drive until I reach a cul-de-sac; the entrance to the mansion was big in itself, two huge pillars evenly placed at the front with two massive big wooden front doors.
All the gardens were professionally maintained, lawns manicured, this is what most people dream about. I park my cruiser behind a brand new Bentley Continental, which was situated in front of the entrance.
I switch off the engine and step out of the car, I notice three other cars parked evenly angled facing down the driveway, I had no idea who owned them, but they looked to be very expensive, a fancy Ferrari, a fancy Lamborghini and a very fancy looking Merc.
I straighten my tie and suit jacket, my badge neatly clipped to my belt and my gun holstered on my right hip.

I march my way up the steps to the front doors, I'm about to knock as I take notice of the door bell button.
I finger the button, hearing a chime of harmonic bells, which indeed them too would have been expensive. I hear the door handle twist, as one of them swings open revealing a young woman who had to be in her late teens, she was wearing a long following blue dress incrusted with diamonds, diamond necklace with a pennant, diamond ear rings, her long brown hair, the same color as my own was neatly trimmed and flows down like waves in the ocean and she wore black flat sandals.

The look on her face showed it all, as if she seen a vampire, literately speaking of course. "Ja....Jake?" It was none other than my sister. "Hey sis, long time no talk, sorry for the long leave of absence, am I late?" I grin. She ignores my remark as she rushes into me, throwing her arms around me as she collapses into my own arms, I return by putting my arms around her.
The hug lasted for a good minute and a half, she broke the hug as I see her eyes glisten with tears, she wipes them away as she smiles, "Sorry," she says, "It's just been a very a long time since I've seen you."
I feel a lone tear roll down my cheek, "You're not making this easy," I remark, she chuckles as she wipes away her tears.
I place a hand on her shoulder, "It's good to see you again, hero." I smile at her; she does a muffled laugh as she wipes away a few more tears as she grins at me. "Jeez, bro, you haven't called me that since we were young."
