SAIGE
I heard him mumble 'we'll see' before I pulled away after telling him that tonight was just us hanging out and wasn't any type of a date or anything. But we'll see what happens, I guess. Plus, it's a little weird that he's picking me up when we live in his apartment.
After I finished getting myself ready, I heard a knock at the door and started making my way out my bedroom to answer it. I had my hair french braided and wore nice jeans with my flats and a sweater.
When I opened it up, there was Victor standing in front of me, leaning against the doorway, smiling at me.
He looked hot, I won't lie. He's got his hair slicked back (as if he got a fresh hair cut) his cologne smelled amazing and he had a black fitted T-shirt that hugged his muscles a little bit and a pair of dark jeans along with a dark hoodie.
"You look amazing." He smirks.
"Thanks. So do you." I reply.
"Thanks. Let's get going?" He asks.
"Sure." I reply.
He locks the door behind me and we begin walking towards the elevator.
I was a little surprised that we walked towards his truck instead of his motorcycle and also felt relieved at the same time because it was way too cold to go on the bike, not to mention it was supposed to rain.
He opened the door for me and then he got in before we started to leave the parking garage. Maritza and Javier kept teasing me about tonight being a date and trying to convince me that Victor really is interested in me and should give him another chance. But I still am not so sure yet.
He asked me what sounded good to eat and so I chose a deli because I was wanting an italian/grinder sandwich.
The place was family owned and they also were located in their own convenient store where we got drinks and a couple of snacks.
After we got into the car, we drove for a bit and interested in seeing where he was taking me. He was nice enough to let me choose the music, so I chose my favorite country music station at first, then after a couple of songs, I went through a couple more until I landed on one P!NK playing. I love her.
A few songs later, we pulled up behind a couple lines of cars and I wondered if there was an event going on or something because I have never seen so many cars lined up waiting to get somewhere like this.
There were people who were sitting in their cars, talking, laughing, playing music and then everyone started their cars up and soon enough the line began moving.
"So where are we?" I finally asked.
"We're at the drive-in." He chuckles.
"Wow, really?" I asked trying to hold in my excitement.
I've always heard some people still have these and were real popular back in the day. You get to see two movies for the price of one. There are restrooms, snack bar and trucks and with the big cars in the back row while you turned it to a certain station in your stereo to hear the movies that are played straight ahead alone, with many other parking spots.
There was a dividing wall that separated us from the other side that also played two movies but not the same ones.
I loved it, it was nice. That was at least until he pulled into the spot so we were facing the screen.
"Are we getting out?" I asked as he turned the station on his radio, opened the back two windows from his back window and grabbed the bags of food and drinks along with a blanket from the backseat of his quad cab then got out and motioned with his head to come out.
"Of course." He laughs a little.
I get out and as he gets up on the tailgate and then the bed of the truck, he next pulls out a few more what looks to be more blankets, makes a nice little cushioned place for us to sit and sits down.
"You do know it's supposed to rain, right?" I asked.
"That's what I heard but it's not supposed to start until much later." He tells me. "And don't worry about being too cold, I've got extra blankets. Not to mention, I can always keep you warm." He smiles and winks.
I just roll my eyes at how sweet but at how much of a dork he is also.
"Whatever." I say under my breath before climbing onto the bed of the truck.
I then crawl over towards him and sit down beside him while grabbing the blanket and putting it on my legs and feet while then leaning back against the truck. So far this was comfortable and nice and it actually wasn't too cold, at least not yet.
I must admit that rather it's a date or not, I'm impressed and think it's actually pretty cool that he though up of this.
Next chapter will be posted soon! :)
