VICTOR

When Lorenzo and I finished up discussing a plan, we started to hear the girls scream and then heard quickly after that, gunfire along with yelling.

So Lorenzo took out a gun from his back pocket and handed it to me while he had another one in his hand as we cautiously began approaching the door and as soon as we opened it, we right away knew it was Horacio, Lolita's father's men.

We didn't hesitate as we too began to fire and got right in the middle of it all.

I was trying to look for Maritza and Saige then found Javier crouched behind a flipped over couch trying to reload his gun and hurried over towards him.

"Hey, where are the girls?" I yelled over the gunfire.

"They're safe! They're upstairs in a locked bedroom with a couple of guns I gave them that I brought." He yells back and once he is finished reloading we continued shooting.

It was almost like a scene from a movie with blood everywhere along with the lifeless bodies of those who had just been killed while many others were wounded yet still putting up a good fight.

All I cared about was killing Horacio once and for all and not caring about the consequences in doing so because he has gotten away with so much for too long and clearly he is no longer afraid of my Uncle Lorenzo.

Speaking of Uncle Lorenzo, I began looking around for him and so far didn't see him anywhere until suddenly he came stumbling out from a corner, with blood dripping from his mouth as he held his chest that seemed to be seeping through his fingers from and took one look at me before he rolled his eyes to the back of his head and fell face forward onto the ground, now dead.

"NOO!!!" I yelled. "AHHHHH!!!!"

I started pushing my way through everyone ignoring the firing shots, not giving a shit if I got shot or not because I WAS going to kill this motherfucker.

I headed towards the corner Uncle Lorenzo came stumbling out to his death from and kicked in a door that was closed and right away saw Horacio coughing up blood while holding his arm that blood began dripping from.

He looked like he got a good beating too from my uncle before he was shot. But now I am gonna finish the job.

He looks at me and starts to laugh menacingly.

"Here for revenge huh? An eye for an eye?" He spits out some blood onto the floor as he smiles at me.

"Something like that. As far as that artifact goes, you will never get it." I tell him.

"Oh but I already have. Thanks to my daughter." He says with an evil grin.

I have no idea in what the hell he means or is talking about and frankly, I don't care at this point. In fact, he could be bullshitting me trying to buy some time so he can pull out a gun from somewhere or something. Then right as I get ready to shoot him in the head, I hear Lolita's voice.

"Oh Victor?!" She coos loudly as we also hear the gunfire and yelling come to a complete stop.

I don't know what she's up to but this isn't gonna go down like this. So I grin back at Horacio in a sinister way as I stomp up towards him, grab him by the arm that is wounded as he yells in pain and start pushing him in front of me.

"Come on Dad, let's go have a talk with your daughter." I tell him while pointing my gun up against his head and squeezing his bullet wound.

We start heading out and notice Lolita is right upstairs looking down over the railing along with Saige.

"I wouldn't do anything to my Papa if I were you." She threatened as she jammed the gun into the side of Saige's head.

Then I dug into his wound more causing him to collapse almost in pain but I held him up as I cocked my gun and pressed it hard against the side of his head.

"You sure YOU want to try anything?!" I smirk at her in satisfaction.

"Pff. Please. You think I give a shit rather or not you kill my papa? I know you won't ever pull the trigger knowing it could kill your little girlfriend here." She states.

She's right on one hand but I'm not going to let her see that and am hoping deep down, that Saige will stomp on Lolita's foot and fight her or even throw her skanky ass over the railing, something.

"And I know you won't pull the trigger because rather you admit it or not, you need your father here with you." I fired back at her.

In those split couple of moments, I next heard a gunshot come from upstairs and the next thing I see is Maritza and Saige pushing over Maritza's now lifeless body over the railing and having her land right in front of me and Horacio as he looked down at her crying and screaming.

Then he turns around and punches me real hard to where he knocks the gun out of my hand and we both go back and forth fist fighting one another until he gets a good grip on me and throws me hard against one of the beam poles in the middle of the living room so that it hurts my back and causes me to fall onto the ground hard.

While I struggle to try and get up, I next feel a hard blow to my side from Horacio kicking me hard.

Fuck me this is painful as hell. I know that my ribs have got to be broken for sure and may have some internal bleeding even.

I could hear Saige crying upstairs as she tries and tends to Maritza who has now also fallen to the ground and then right as I feel myself being pulled up a little by Horacio and see with one of my eyes swollen half shut that Horacio is about to shoot me, then I hear a gun going off.

At first I thought it was me who was shot but then quickly noticed Javier coming over to me with a gun in his hand and Horacio had fallen back after being shot in the head.

"Are you alright?" I hear Javier.

"Yeah." I replied as I struggle to stand while holding my side and wincing in pain.

We head up the stairs towards Maritza and Saige while Javier calls 911 and when Saige looks at me with tears coming down her face, she wraps her arms around me.

"I thought I lost you." She says.

"Never." I tell her as we look at each other and she leans in to give me a kiss.

The police along with the ambulances come running inside and we call out to the paramedics to come upstairs to us.
