SAIGE
Saturday night was here and that meant tonight was also the night Maritza and I would go to watch both Victor and Javier race and do tricks on their motorcycles.
However, I think that she has a thing for Javier and he likes her too because of how they act around each other. Besides, he's been coming over a lot when not with Victor. She's not saying anything and neither is he but then again, it's like how she hasn't brought up that Trenton again and I actually haven't been seeing him the last few days. But I trust Maritza. So I will for sure be staying away from him. Especially after seeing the look in her eyes and the tone of her voice that night with him.
So we made our way down towards the track and there were a lot of people and a lot of riders. Some of them were even practicing some stunts. I was amazed and excited all at the same time.
Then a group of motorcyclists came slowly pulling up and stopped several feet away from the starting line for the race, all while wearing their helmets that covered their faces and I can't help but think they are sexy as hell. I mean just the thought of someone on a sexy bike wearing a helmet that covers up their face, I find it to be beyond sexy and mysterious. Just like the character Wesley in the movie, 'The Princess Bride.'
Maritza and I grabbed some snacks and drinks before we went to sit in the second row of the stands. Somebody came over and sat down next to me and I must say that he was really good looking. Almost reminded me of that one actor, Jay Hernandez from that movie, Crazy Beautiful.
"Can I sit here?" The guy asked.
"Sure.' I replied.
I start to feel Maritza nudge me a little in my side.
"Ow." I whisper yell at her.
"He is hot. You need to say something to him." She winks and smiles.
I just 'shh' her and roll my eyes. Although she's right. But before I could say anything, he beat me to it.
"So how come I've never seen you before?" He asks me.
"Because this is my first time coming to one of these." I reply.
"That's cool. You into motorcycles?" He asks.
"Yeah, I like them. I mean I don't know much about them but, they're cool." I reply before taking a bite of my nachos.
"I forgot napkins. I'll be right back." Maritza says when she knows damn well that's a lie.
Before I could say anything to stop her from leaving, it was too late.
"So, are you here to watch somebody in particular? A boyfriend? Girlfriend?" He asks.
"My friend's brother." I reply.
"Oh that's cool who?" He asks while looking around.
"I don't know which one he is but his name is Victor Mendoza." After I told him he looked at me as if I had four heads.
"Wait, was that Maritza sitting next to you?" He asks.
"Yeah, why?" I asked.
"Uh..." He hesitates suddenly acting uncomfortable and when he looks ahead, his eyes widened in fear before he got up and took off.
What the hell was that all about? Don't tell me he knows them too and why did he get up and leave in a hurry?
I look ahead to see what or who scared him and noticed a guy who rolled up on his motorcycle in front of his group had his head turned in my direction.
What the hell is that guy's problem? Unless it was the guy sitting next to me's friend or whomever he was here to see race.
Maritza comes back and hands me some napkins and begins eating her flaming hot cheetos while some guy over the speaker announces all riders to line up at the start line.
People hurry to the stands while others stand off to the sides to watch. Then a minute later there's a countdown and the motorcycles are revved up. Next the announcer says 'go' they all take off.
"Hey, which one's your brother?" I ask her.
"He's...that one!" She quickly points to as they zoom by us for their first lap.
Even though there were lights on, it wasn't too easy still to see who each one he was because they all wore black and colors were a blur as they came by. So I just cheered in my mind along with Javier.
They did about a total of ten laps and though at times you could tell some played dirty and caused some people to crash, there were several others that kept going strong and it looked neck with three racers but one got across if first and everybody cheered as the rider stopped halfway, turned back around and lifted the front half of his motorcycle off the ground until he stopped where he was before the race.
People cheered and surrounded the guy but I couldn't see him.
Maritza took my hand and we hurried down the bleachers to go find Javier and Victor.
We slithered our way through the crowd and when we got to the winner, of course, it was her brother. Of course he'd win.
Then it hit me a moment later, he was also the one who scared that guy away and stared at me.
Why does he have to be such an asshole?!?
When he spotted me after hugging Maritza, he smiled and winked at me but like an idiot, I looked behind and around me, but I was the only girl there. Did he really just wink at me?
Next chapter will be posted soon! :)
