"He's sleep deprived and dehydrated. It looks like he's in some sort of shock. Ill hook up and IV and give him a sedative to stop his body from working so hard." Slender explained to us as he grabbed a needle and stuck it into Kyler's forearm and taped it. He attached the IV bag and left to get the sedative shot to give to Kyler.

Slender finally came home merely an hour after Kyler collapsed, once we told him what happened he carried Kyler to his room and immediately started checking him over.

"He got lucky." Slender said as he walked back into the room with another needle. He walked over to Kyler's left side and placed the needle I'm his upper arm and Injected him with the sedative. "If I were any later he might have gotten worse."

"But he's going to be okay though right?" I asked as I took a seat beside Kyler and locked my fingers together with his.

"Yes he should be fine. Listen Jeff can I talk to you out in the hall for a moment please." I looked back at Kyler, not wanting to leave him, but I agreed and nodded my head, letting go of Kyler's hand and got up, Masky sat down beside him to keep an eye on him while I talked with Slender.

Slender softly closed the door behind him, looked down the hall to make sure we were alone before speaking. "Do you know if Kyler suffers from any medical conditions?"

"Not that I really know of why?"

"Like nothing? What about stuff like bipolar disorder anything like that?"

"He told me has anxiety over some things and he used to have depression, not formally diagnosed but you can tell he does, but what would that have to do with him collapsing?"

It was silent for a moment then Slender sighed. "I think Kyler has separation anxiety."  

"What's that?"

"When Kyler first came here he isolated him self from everyone, the only friend he ever had was his older brother Ashton and when I brought him here they were separated and he didn't talk to anyone. When you started talking to him I saw he got attached to you and you guys became friends and then that escalated into a relationship." Slender paused for a moment.

"Okay so how does that tie into what happened I still don't understand."

"Let me finish." I nodded my head and waited for him to continue. "When I forced you two, to be away from each other and not see one another he would isolate himself, to be fair I did forbid him from seeing you yes but I still gave him the options to leave his room when you weren't around. This is were everything ties together. You said how he deals with depression right, well once you two were separated, his separation anxiety set in and he stopped eating, stopping talking to everyone, hid away in his room and inflicted self injuries on himself. He suffered from lack of sleep and nutrients which caused the dehydration and why he's so sleep deprived."

"So what your saying is, if he were to get separated from me again, the whole collapsing thing, not eating or sleeping will all happen again?"

"Yes Jeff it would and as much as I hate saying this you have to be with him at all times other wise his depression may kill him in the long run, more the less he will kill himself." He sighed. "And frankly I did bring him here for a reason and I can't nor do I want to just replace him with someone else. We need him here."

"So you're going to let us stay together then."

"Yes."

"Okay this is the best fucking news I've heard in a while and I don't want to ruin it but I have to ask you, why do you care for Kyler so much all of a sudden? Last time you were here you were pushing him around, yelling at him and you ... well, what happened with you?"

"Jeff it was all in my best intentions, I was trying to show him the harsh reality of being homosexual. I was trying to set him straight. When yelling and screaming at him didnt work I tried physical assaults but nothing changed him, no matter how many times I would hit him or hurt him or treat him poorly, nothing worked, it kind of made me realize that what I was doing, trying to change him was the wrong thing to do."

I stared at Slender shocked and utterly disgusted by the words he just said.

"Every night he'd tell me how much he loved you which made me the more angrier because I wanted him to learn that what he is, is wrong but I never got through to him. The reason he was always so alone before I brought him here was because everyone despised his kind. No one liked gay people. I was trying to help him. The moment I left I was secretly watching you guys and doing other important business. When I saw his behaviour change from depressed and hostile to happy and calm was because I knew he was with you and that's when I started to figure something wasn't right with him but I didn't know what until now."

"Oh my god." Was all I managed to say at this point.

"Look Jeff, why don't you go and stay with Kyler for a bit, we can talk more about this later if you please. Just call me if there's any change or if he wakes up." Slender walked down the hall and I blankly stared at the wall for moment as everything Slender told me processed through my mind. What a sick fuck.

Trying to help him my ass, how is beating up a kid going to change the way he was born. I shook my head and walked back into the room with Kyler and Maksy taking my seat back beside him and telling Masky thanks for watching him and he could leave. I got it from here.

I softly kissed Kyler's knuckles and rubbed my thumb over his hand as I thought of everything Slender told me. Despite what happened and what I was told I'm still happy me and Kyler get to be back together and that's all I'm gonna think about until he wakes up.
