It was Valentine's Day, and the city felt alive with love and celebration. Heart-shaped decorations hung in shop windows, and vibrant bouquets of flowers lined the streets. Everywhere you looked, there was an air of romance. It was such a beautiful day that you decided a stroll through the city later might be a nice way to enjoy it.

As you were walking, a stranger approached you with a kind smile and handed you a bouquet of flowers. It wasn't part of any promotion or gimmick—they simply seemed to want to share a kind gesture. You thanked them sincerely for the lovely bouquet, feeling a warmth spread through your heart.

By the time you reached school, your arms were filled with chocolates and flowers, all gifts from random acts of kindness or friends. Your arrival caught the attention of your classmates, some gazing at you with envy while others admired your seemingly endless stash of Valentine's treats.

As you strolled through the bustling hallways, nibbling on a piece of chocolate, your thoughts wandered to Daniel. He wasn't around—again. Earlier that morning, he had texted you, saying to go on without him. You hadn't thought much of it at the time.

"Maybe he's celebrating Valentine's with someone special. Good for him," you muttered to yourself before shrugging and resuming your walk.

The hallways were a symphony of laughter and whispers, filled with couples exchanging gifts, holding hands, and sharing tender moments. A few were even bold enough to kiss in the middle of the crowd, which made you smile, though you couldn't help but think, "Sweet, but seriously, get a room..."

"Good morning, Y/N!" A loud, cheerful voice suddenly broke through the chatter.

Startled, you turned to see Vasco bounding toward you, his signature energy on full display.

"Good morning, Vasco," you greeted him, stopping in your tracks. Behind him, Jace trailed, looking utterly exhausted from trying to keep up.

"Good morning, Jace. Are you okay?" you asked, pulling a bottle of water from your bag and handing it to him.

"Thanks..." Jace panted, gratefully chugging the water. You couldn't help but chuckle at the contrast between Vasco's boundless enthusiasm and Jace's worn-out demeanor.

"I almost forgot!" Vasco exclaimed suddenly, digging into his bag. He pulled out three carefully wrapped chocolates and held them out to you. "I wanted to be the first to give you something for Valentine's!"

His words made you smile, but when Vasco noticed the armful of chocolates and flowers you were already holding, his face fell. He looked like a kid who'd just realized his gift wasn't as special as he'd hoped.

"Thank you, Vasco. That's so thoughtful of you," you said warmly, unwrapping one of the chocolates and taking a bite. "This is delicious! Where did you get it?"

Vasco's eyes lit up instantly. "Jace helped me make them!" he said proudly, motioning toward his friend.

"Wow, you made these yourselves? That's amazing," you said, genuinely impressed. "Knowing you put so much effort into them makes them even more special."

Both Vasco and Jace beamed with happiness, clearly thrilled that you appreciated their hard work. To show your gratitude, you handed them each a small flower from your bouquet and gave them a warm hug. Their smiles grew even wider, and you could see how much your reaction meant to them.

After a cheerful conversation, you said your goodbyes and continued on your way. When you reached your locker, you didn't think much of it at first—until you opened it. The moment you swung the door open, a cascade of envelopes tumbled out, scattering across the floor.
