Teldryn realizes that she wasn't joking about it being a long, difficult journey. First she said she claimed she had yo speak with someone, as she went spelunking for something called the Horn of Jurgen Windcaller and found a note in its place. She went to Riverwood to find this person, and they were both surprised to find the innkeeper is one of the Blades- an ancient order who is sworn to protect the Emperor, and ultimately, The Dragonborn. Though he was enjoying the sights and battles, he felt sorry that Raevyn had so much on her plate. But in this time, he noticed her getting stronger, better in every way, becoming a master of light armor, one handed blades, conjuration and restoration. She had told him once she planned to be a Master in all crafts, and she was learning blacksmithing, enchanting and alchemy. He, on the other hand, hadn't really learned any new skills himself. He was an old dog, not ready to learn new tricks. He would, he told himself, but he knew he wouldn't.

They had recently wrapped up a temporary peace treaty with the Imperial Legion and the Stormcloaks. Ulfric made it known that it was VERY temporary. Teldryn got to give him his thoughts when he spat at his boots. It made him proud that Raevyn didn't give him a sideways glance, not a word, and just looked at Ulfric and shrugged. She obviously didn't like the man, but for fairness, ensured that they would also have claim to a town, like the Imperials. After all the leaders had signed, they made their ways from High Hrothgar to Whiterun. He knew now that he could trust what she tells him, and she told him she plans to catch a Dragon to ride to Alduin's lair. He wished she was joking, but knew that she wasn't.

Once in Whiterun, she told the Jarl what her intention was, and he readied the soldiers. Farengar was excited at the prospect of collecting scales and blood from a living dragon, and had a front row seat to the luring of the dragon. She lifted her head to the sky, and shouted- "Oodaving!" and not long after, he heard the reply of a dragon, coming closer. The dragon spoke to Raevyn, accepting her challenge, and chaos erupted. The dragon shouted fire from his maw, scorching the bricks of the tower. Raevyn led him back, closer and closer to the door. Once the dragon was in the right area, the guards above dropped the yoke upon him. The dragon two red in frustration, and attempted to shake off his bindings. He shook once, twice, and settled. The dragon spoke with Raevyn and agreed...AGREED...to fly her on his back to Alduin's portal to Sovngarde. Just like that! He was in awe, never had he seen such a feat. While she flew off, he waited. He stayed in Dragonsreach, mostly out where the dragon had been caught, awaiting her arrival. It seemed so long, those 3 days that she was on her own, but it gave him time to think. Time to think about cleaning armor, then weapons, then sharpening weapons, then when he was done with that, the real thinking began.

He stood out in the capture area, looking out unto the land. I wish she were here, he thought. This sight is so beautiful, she would appreciate it. And he became choked up for a moment. What if she doesn't return? What if she dies and Tamriel falls to the World Eater? He would never see her again. But just as quickly as the emotions came, he buried them. She wouldn't care for someone such as me, why even think of her in this way? No, no, she is my patron and I am a professional, he thought. And he pushed it deep down, where he hoped it would never surface again.
