Para three - shows the bossy and controlling part of the "friend" how she made her do things for her
Para five - the summer time is usually the holidays, I wanted to point out how they (the "friends") expect people to be there for them, not giving them the freedom just because they're "friends"
Para six - people smoke when they're bored and when they're done they step on it. Same goes to what I was trying to imply with these "friends"
