Meaningless Nights

I lie in the moonlight
During these nights

These meaningless nights

No motivation
Couldn't get myself to start a action

My parents were disapointed
But they added on as entertainment

"Stop staring at your phone,
It's no wonder you're alone

You're just a piece of trash,
That no one bothered to flush"

I used to cry when I heard these words
But now two-thirds
Of the time
Was like the nighttime

The scoldings became meaningless
I couldn't feel their bloody love

I was feeling hopeless
I couldn't focus

Some people live for fame
Others for the game

"What do you wanna be when you grow up?"
"I'll probably end up in the death cup."

Hi! This poem is about how some parents control over their child's life.
Like they're a robot.
Let me explain some of the phrases I used :
Meaningless Nights - when you have no control over how you want to live your life, life just loses its meaning.
Entertainment - parents often critic us, however, they think of it as a form of correction. They do not know how much their words actually hurt.
Death cup - at this point i was just trying to rhyme (i found this word on Google lol) cup, a object that holds liquids. Like how parents hold (control over) their child's life.
para 7 - the nighttime was a reference to the nights.

Note: parents do what they think is good for you but sometimes it just gets too extreme :") I would say if you ever feel this way try to talk to your parents about it instead of neglecting them. That would just make the whole situation worse.
