Ramsey Samson was born in household where men and women were viewed as equals, even if it wasn't like that in the outside world. This environment that she grew up in fueled the idea that she wanted to cop, and that's what she became, even if she had to fight like hell.

She knew the danger of loving someone in law enforcement, but after she met Derek Morgan when his team assisted her department in a case, she couldn't stay away. Neither could he, really. It was good. They had a home together, a dog, few arguments and they even talked about the future they wanted together.

Until the day they dread comes, and Derek gets the call that his girlfriend was murdered on the job, and her partner was barely alive himself

• a lot of this is fluff and domestic stuff
• there's a little bit action when writing about their careers
• but they have everything; a house together, they adopted a dog together and have even talked about getting married and having kids
• the last few chapters should be Ramsey's murder and showcasing Derek's grief over her death.
• the ending should be very sad.
• if the authors wants to pursue this; once Rhett is back on the job, he works to solve the murder of Ramsey. Derek assists him in his free time until her killer is caught
