"You're a great photographer." I winked at Taj.
"Better than Gabe?" He teased.
"Please. No one is better than Gabe." I chuckled, Taj didn't get offended because he knows how close I am with my family.
"You know if this is too soon for your friendship with Cameron we can cancel." Taj reassured me.
"No it's okay. I'm a different person now compared to eight months ago." I shyly smiled. Taj smiled and gave me a quick forehead.
"Just let me know if you need anything, okay?" He asked.
"I promise." I kissed his cheek which left him blushing. "Thank you for being so understanding."
Taj and I walked into Texas Roadhouse to see Cameron and Saffie waiting on us. Taj grabbed my hand and started walking towards them.
"They're here!" Saffie cheered. I really couldn't tell if I was buying Saffies nice act.
"Sup bro." Cameron got up and hugged Taj. I always loved the friendship between the two of them. "Chi." He smiled and hugged me.
All four of us talked for hours. We shared lots of laughs and memories that I wouldn't forget. I'm glad that Cameron and I are getting close again even if it's through Taj got a phone call in the middle of dinner and flipped out.
"Hey, I gotta go. I'll explain later. Cam, can you take china home?" Taj asked.
"Of course!" Cam smiled. Taj nodded and ran off, Leaving me confused as hell. Is it something I did?
"So, Chi. What are your plans acting wise?" Saffie smiled.
"I have a lot of auditions coming up but I'm just trying to take it slow right now." I explained, while getting in the car.
"I'm dropping you off at Booboo's right?" Cameron asked Saffie.
"Booboo?" I asked.
"Oh, yeah. We have a little acting gig tomorrow." She explained and smiled, "but yes! Please drop me off at booboo's" Saffie had asked me about everything I went through the last eight months.. it was hard to explain it with Cameron in the car but I did the best I could until she left.
"So..." Cam started off, "My house? My family misses you." He smiled shyly.
"Of course, freckles. I've missed all of you." I giggled, "What's different with your relationship with Saffie compared to last year?" I asked.
"Well, we are just more open with each other. She's someone I honestly can't picture my life without. We had to work through all of the hurtful things she did but chi, she really has changed. She's grown up and I hope you can let her in." Cam smiled. It made me smile that he found happiness with her but also made me sad. Deep down I missed Cameron in every way possible.
"I'm happy for you, Cam. I'm glad you two have each other." I smiled. I think he could tell I was sad so he tried to change the subject.
"Why did you come back two months early?"
"I was ready, I am ready. I'm a much happier person compared to eight months ago and as much as I love Atlanta, I can't hide forever. I missed acting, that's my job. I missed my family and friends. I missed my fans." I thought about my fans and how they supported me even though I haven't been active and all I could do was smile so big.
"Yeah, your fans have missed you. Every time I went out half the time I was asked about you." He chuckled. Cameron parked very awkwardly. "I'm glad you're happy with Taj. He's a good dude but if he ever hurts you I'll be there." Cam smiled.
"That's sweet and all, but fix your damn parking." I chuckled pointing out that he sucks at driving. Maya came out to the car almost dragging me out because she was excited Cam and I were together again.
"Mom and dad will be so excited to see you." She squeezed my hands and I winced at the pain as she ran me inside. "MOM! DAD! I have a surprise for you!" Maya yelled.
"Is it ice cream?" Kar came out of his room and frowned once he saw me, "that's not Ice Cream." He sighed.
"Don't be so excited to see me." I teased.
"I saw you yesterday." Kar shrugged, "MOM! DAD!" Kar yelled and you could hear them running from their bedroom.
"WHO'S HURT." Mr. Vic yelled, with Mrs Libby by his side.
"CHINA!" Mrs. Libby cheered and pulled me into a group hug with Mr. Vic.
"It's about damn time." Mr. Vic groaned leaving everyone with laughter. As I broke away from the hug I looked at Cameron who was already looking at us with so much love in his eyes and man, I missed that about him. I missed my second family so much.
"Let's not start this again just yet." Karan whispered in my ear, making me realize I was staring at Cameron.
"Yet? I don't plan on starting it again for a long time." I whispered back.
"Mmmmmmmhm. We'll talk about this later. I'm going to hang out with my friend, Nolan." Kar smiled and took Cameron's keys away from him. "LATER HOMIES!"
After Kar left I was able to chat with everyone for a while. Mr. Vic asked about my acting career and I told him my plans about wanting to be booked and busy.
"Well, I know a director that wants to Start Black lightning. They won't be doing Auditions until Next month but I can set you up an Audition." Mr. Vic explained.
"I would love that! Thank you so much!" I gushed. Mr. Vic had always tried his best to set me up with Auditions so I was always very thankful. Cameron's phone starting going off and it was Taj calling. He answered and put him on speaker.
"You're on speaker, bro." Cameron Answered.
"Cam." Taj sobbed.
"What's wrong?" Cam asked, sitting up like he was about to run out the door.
"Lauryn is Missing." He said in between sobs.
