Ash POV

It's the 31st of October. It's Halloween. The worst time of the year. Everybody's excited to go out in the depths of the night to get free candy from strangers who could've drugged their goods for all they know. Every street is decorated with fake spiders, bats, cobwebs, and worst of all...pumpkins. God I'm fucking terrified of pumpkins. It's a real thing. I looked it up. It's called Cucurbitophobia. Anyway it's safe to say I'm not going outside until Halloween is officially over.

"Hey Ash~"

Oh. I forgot about the worst part of all of this.

"Ash are you home? I brought two pumpkin spice lattes~"

I love Eiji with all my heart but sometimes he's just straight up evil.

"Come on Ash try one. You can barley taste the pumpkin!"

I hid behind the couch in attempt to avoid Eiji's devilish stare.

"Boo! Found you!"

Sure enough Eiji was holding two pumpkin spice lattes from Starbucks in his hands.

"Smell it Ash~It smells like heaven."

He stuck his hand out towards me, the wretched drink almost touching me.

I ran. I ran all the way into our bedroom and into the bathroom and locked the door behind me.

Eiji knows about my fear of pumpkins. He thinks it's funny. I don't find it very amusing though.

"Ash~ You can't hide forever. I can wait it out. You'll have to come out of the bathroom at some point."

"I'll sleep in the tub if I have to!"

Eiji POV

Ohoho this is just the beginning of my plan. Phase two has just begun. I bought a bunch of fake pumpkins from Micheals as soon as it became a October. I've hidden them under our bed and have been waiting for this moment all month.

Ash POV

It's been 30 minutes and I haven't heard a word from Eiji. I creaked the door open only  to be met with a horrifying sight. Our whole bedroom was filled with pumpkins and scented candles. The lights were off so the soft glow of the candles gave to room a sort of romantic look.

"Eiji!" I screamed.

Sure enough that brat came waltzing in with the slyest grin on his face.

"Yes my darling?" He answered standing in the doorway on the other side of the great pumpkin sea.

"Eiji I'm gonna start crying. Please get them out of here."

He expression changed to one of compassion. I think he noticed the tone of panic in my voice. He walked over to me, stepping over the pumpkins and lit candles, and wrapped his arms around my neck pulling his body closer to mine.

"Eiji." I said my lip trembling.

"What is it? The big bad Ash Lynx can't handle a few pumpkins?"

"No." I shook my head. My voice sounding weak. I hate when I sound weak.

"Well don't worry. Your Prince Charming Ei-Chan is here to make them go away.

Author POV

Eiji leaned up and pecked Ash softly on the lips. Ash leaned forward as Eiji pulled away, not wanting the kiss to end so quickly. The warm glow of the candles made Eiji's eyes sparkle. His skin looked like honey and his hair raven black.

Ash leaned down slowly. He was captivated by Eiji's stare and couldn't resist his plump lips.

So once again, their lips connected. This time it was more passionate. More slow.

Ash grabbed Eiji's waist causing the older to let out a small hum.

"Ash~" Eiji whined as his hands started to travel under the younger's shirt.

With that Ash picked Eiji up and walked them over to their bed, stepping over the candles and pumpkins forgetting about his fear because all he cares about at this moment is Eiji.

"A-Ash you walked over the pumpkins!"

Ash shuttered remembering there were still pumpkins in the room.

"Don't remind me. Just come here."

Eiji sat up and started to kiss Ash's neck causing red and purple bruises to form. He rubbed Ash's thighs moving farther and farther up his legs towards his hips. Eiji pressed down with his thumbs and Ash let out a small moan in response.

Eiji flipped them over so Ash was now on the bottom, his back against the bedsheets.

This position seemed all to familiar to him. He tried not to panic as Eiji came closer. But to his surprise the older laid on top of him and buried his head in his chest.

"Eiji...D-Don't you want t-to do it?..."

Eiji picked his head up from Ash's chest and looked his lover in the eyes.

"It's okay. We can just cuddle here and sleep."

Eiji put his head back down and went to bed leaving Ash conflicted.

I tried to make this chapter longer than I usually would because I've been gone for so long.

Also I know this Halloween chapter is kinda late but I really wanted to write about Ash's fear of pumpkins 🎃
