CHAPTER 3

He leaned further in his chair , rubbing his hand over his forehead ,took a deep breath" Okay I'm just going to say it clear to you;she goes through the bodyguards like you do cold beers. A new bodyguard get appointed to her and within a week or so she makes them quit. They refuse to work for her. She is a really like a naked wire and what I conclude as a arrogant and stubborn bitch. But she is very important , not only for the case but also because her father is a well know business tycoon and her mother is soon to be a minister of the state. Her father has requested someone who will be able to deal with her on daily basis . They have also set a specific age bracket since, he'll have to attend the college with her and stay with her like her shadow until the end of the court case."

It suddenly strikes me where this meeting was going and I saw him with disbelief and shook my head. I was way more annoyed by now that I threw the file on the desk "This is a complete bullshit. I am a special agent. I am not a fucking babysitter!" I almost shouted looking at the file on the desk with no interest.

"There is no room to debate. They wanted the best agent with an age difference of five years. They even made a list of all the capable agents from all over the country and Mr. Singhania picked you himself since,you were the best. And to add to the list you were also the only young agent in the list with such good capabilities. You should consider this as an honour." Officer Rao said trying to convince me.

I was getting frustrated " Why are we even getting involved in all this?" I asked almost in all pissed off tone.

Officer Rao sighted " She has had number of agents as her bodyguard . Plus there aren't many agents with the required age group." He stared at me before starting to speak again"Riyansh,this is just for eight months ,until the court case gets done, that's all you need to do. Mr and Mrs Singhania have assured that after the assignment ,you can have any position you want . Post of your choice, even the Front line."

My head snapped in his direction and I gasped"Seriously?"

Officer Rao smiled a little and nodded his head and said" I knew this will catch your interest in the case. But I want you to understand this is a very important job. If she dies,the case will shatter into pieces and James Smith will be let out of the jail and then thousands of life will again be in danger. Think about it ,How many people will get killed?"

Ok ok,I get it now. Babysit for eight months and then I can have my dream job! "Okay, I am ready for the assignment sir." I was having a small grin on my lips now after hearing the offer.

"You can't tell anyone about this .   You'll have to tell you got assigned somewhere on the borders. You will be undercover with her." Officer Rao stated firmly. I nodded my head , grabbed the file and got up from the chair to leave his office when he stops me and says" Make sure you watch DVD that's in their in that file too, which is the footage from her old college and the reason why they expelled her . Like I said, she's kind of a badass; the reasons for it are in the file, which doesn't make for good bedtime reading." He grimaced and rubbed the back of his neck as he said it. I looked at the file nervously and thought what could be so bad about such a beautiful girl . "Right, well I guess that's all. I've mocked up a fake assignment for you in case people ask. A flight has been booked for you for tomorrow morning and your tickets are in the back of the file. Pack casual; they'll have stuff waiting there for you too, so don't go too overboard with the clothes. Only a few people are in the loop on this due to the sensitivity of it; they're not sure if there's a leak in one of the departments, so if you need anything, you call either me or Commander Khair. His details are in the back of the file. Good luck, Riyansh," he said finally.

He then stood up and shook my hand then I saluted him with respect and left is office.

I didn't stay out long with the other boys; my flight was due to leave at eight thirty in the next morning, so I had to pack and make sure I was ready to leave. Once in the solitude of my bedroom, I grabbed the file and stretched out on my bed to read it. As I was expecting, it was pretty harrowing.
