Rebecca

It's been a couple years and boy have we grown. Audrey is now seven and we have added two more young ones, Jeremiah and Jalyn.

Andre says Audrey and I are spitting image for twins. She acts like I do and doesn't put up with anything. Her heart is giant and she's willing to help anyone who needs it. Her attitude resembles mine, she's rebellious but a saint at heart.

Jeremiah is five and a half, he makes sure everyone knows. His hair is nothing but small curls and his eyes melt your heart. He's wild at heart and loves everything about Andre.

Jalyn is three and man is he sweet. His blue gray eyes hold everyone's heart. He's reserved but don't under estimate him, he's extremely smart for his age.

About a year after we had Jeremiah, there was an accident in the family. Through a will Andre and I adopted Katherine, she was eight at the time making her thirteen now. She fits in with us perfectly. Katherine and Andre are close knitted considering they are blood relatives. Kat's father was Andre's cousin, and Kat already saw him as a second father figure in her life.

So here we are.

"Hey baby." I look up and see Andre walk into the kitchen in sweat pants. No matter how old we get I'll always find him sexy, "Hey." I say and he walks over wrapping his arms around my shoulders. My back touches his chest and his lips kiss my temple.

"How are we doing?" He asks rubbing my arms, "We're good." I say turning around to face him. Those brown eyes make my ovaries melt all over again, "You know I love you." I say wrapping my arms around his waist, "Hell I hope so." He smirks leaning down to kiss me. The kiss is short as we expect company at any moment.

"So you're helping me right?" I say holding his sides, "Define helping." He says crossing his arms over his chest and my jaw drops, "I'm joking!" He laughs as I shove him away. "So what's left to make?" He asks and I point to the Mac and cheese, "That's it?" I nod, "Yeah because Jake is bringing other food too and so is my parents and your parents." He nods, "Have they called or anything?" I shake my head, "Not yet." I sigh and he nods.

"Mommy!" Jalyn runs in the kitchen but stops suddenly at the edge of the counter. The kids know not to run through while we're cooking, "Yeah?" He looks at Andre and back at me, "Come in?" I nod, "Mommy!" He trots over and I pick him up. His little limbs wrap around me, "Good morning Jay." I hug him and he giggles.

"Good morning momma." He leans back with full trust in me, "Did you sleep good?" His little hands push back his hair, "Yeah, I had a good dream too." I smile, "What did you dream about?" Andre asks and Jay giggles, "Cake!" Andre and I share a look and Jay smiles, "What kind?" Dre asks pointing his finger at him, "All kinds, all chocolates!" He giggles as his grammar is all wrong.

"Hey are you making breakfast?" Kat says walking in looking between Dre and I, "Yeah, any requests?" She rubs her eye, "Waffles?" Audrey squeals, "Please mama!" I nod, "I think we can do waffles." Dre says as he gets out the waffle iron and we distribute waffles.

After waffles we clean up the boys and Kat disappears to her room, "Babe." Dre throws a towel at me, "Yeah?" He walks over and picks up the towel, "You alright?" He asks rubbing my back, "I'm fine." I smile and he leans against the counter, "Don't leave me." He gently pokes my forehead, "You can talk to me." I put my hand on his chest, "I know." I say and walk out of the kitchen.

I make my way up the stairs towards the bed rooms. As I pass by Audreys I see her playing with a baby doll. She's sat cross legged on the floor with the baby in her lap. The boys share a room and Jeremiah always tries to play with Jalyn even when he doesn't want to. They're downstairs right now watching cartoons.
