I'M SORRY I DIDN'T UPDATE A BUNCH, I'VE HAD LIKE 30 PANIC ATTACKS THIS WEEK

I'M A PIECE OF SHIT I KNOW SKSKAJAOSN

⚠ Drunk Richie, self blame, talk about suicide ⚠

*Richie's POV*

"It's my fault," Eddie cried when we walked out of Stan's room. "I KNEW he was upset, and I left anyways."

"Eds, you didn't do anything wrong," I said and ran my hand over his back. "I promise."

"Nobody thinks it's your fault," Ben added. "Honestly, you're the reason he didn't do it earlier in the day. And that would've been worse, Bev wouldn't have found him if he did it in the morning."

"That's true...but still." Eddie muttered. I hugged him tightly and he leaned his head against my chest.

"I love you."

"I love you too," Eddie smiled up at me and I couldn't help but grin. "Oh, how was work earlier? I never asked."

My chest tightened at the thought of Max again. Ever since the incident at the bar last week, he keeps being...touchy.

His hand will linger when he's handing me something or he'll stare too long. It's uncomfortable, but it's not too bad for now.

"It was ok. The students are starting to open up to me, ask questions, that kind of stuff."

"That's awesome, Richie! And you like Professor Peterson?"

"Yeah, he's pretty cool." I lied.

Only Ruby knows about what happened that night. Ruby TOZIER. We're still trying to figure out if we're related, maybe we're extended cousins or something...

"Sup Losers," Ruby walked in, wheeling Emily in front of her. Speak of the devil. "How's Stan?"

"He just woke up!" Eddie yelled excitedly. "Bev's talking to him now, but you guys can go in later."

"I wonder if he'll remember me," Emily giggled. "I mean, I'm the one who helped him find the wedding rings."

That's another thing we realized while Stan was still asleep. Emily has a part-time job at the jeweler's, and she was the one who helped Stan. Everything really is connected with us...

Bev walked out of Stan's room and Bill walked in. She smiled once she saw Em and Ruby. Bev in particular has been close with them. She's really grateful for them, after all, they helped her get away from Tom. And she was the only girl Loser before they joined.

"Hey guys! How ya feeling, Em?" Bev asked and walked over to the girls.

"Better...my head still hurts, and I can't walk, but at least I'm able to get out of bed."

When Emily fell off the roof, she shattered her left leg. So now she can't walk, but she's making a little bit of progress. Ruby pushes her around everywhere nowadays, but I don't think she minds. Ruby really is an amazing girlfriend, and a great friend. Everyone loves her.

It would be cool if we were related. I'd actually be proud to call her my cousin or whatever. She has a dark green-blue flannel button-up shirt that Emily always wears, and I'll probably steal it from her. It's honestly really cute of them, even if it doesn't match Emily's pastel aesthetic.

Today, Ruby was wearing a black, sleeveless crop top and gray-ish short shorts. A silver necklace hung off her neck, a metal feather on the end of the chain.

Emily had a dark yellow cropped T-shirt on, accompanied by Ruby's flannel. She had pale blue jeans with flowers on them and brown jeans. Ruby and Emily are polar opposites, but they fit together like puzzle pieces.

"Richie? You ok?" Eddie nudged me and laughed. "You've been staring into space for, like, 5 minutes."

"Yeah, I'm good," I smiled and wrapped an arm around his waist. "I'm all good."

•°•Later that night•°•

"I don't give a fuck, Eds!" I furrowed my brows and reached out for my fourth beer bottle. I grabbed it quickly and downed half of it in one sip.

"Richie, please-"

"Shut up, Edward! I can do whatever the fuck I want, ok?!" I snapped at him.

He froze and looked at me with scared eyes before quickly looking at the floor.

"I'm sorry," he muttered softly. "Pl-please don't hurt me."

"Eddie," I sighed. "I'm not gonna hurt you, I just want to drink, ok? Just...go somewhere else. I can't deal with you right now."

I don't want to be rude, but I'm way too drunk to worry about Eddie right now. We can talk in the morning when I'm sober, not now. So I walked away from Eddie and towards the living room, turned on the TV and finished up my fourth and fifth beers.

*Eddie's POV*

It's funny the way things work out. If Stan hadn't attempted last week, I would've killed myself today. That was that plan. I still have the Losers' notes and the noose, but after Stan tried, I called off the plan.

But now, with Richie drinking, I don't know what to do. He said he can't "deal with me". Because I'm a problem.

And it would be so much easier to just end it all then watch Richie turn into Dan. I know it might seem like an overreaction, but this was the first thing that happened to Dan when he started hurting me. He would drink away his problems (aka me), then take out his drunk anger on someone (aka me).

I don't want to see that happen to Richie. So, instead of watching him turn evil, I'll just end it all now. It's the best option for everyone, right?

I won't do it now. Stan JUST woke up, and I still want to spend some time with him. So I'll wait. But it's happening.

And I know everyone will be happier once it's done.
