"So, what do you think of them now?" Clara asked as she and Danny entered his flat.

"Of the Doctor and the Angel?"

"Yeah. See, they're alright, aren't they, really, underneath it all?" Danny hesitated, and she sighed. "Okay. Tell me what you're thinking."

"I know people like them," he admitted. "I've served under them. They push you and make you stronger, 'til you're doing things you never thought you could. And they're amazing, yeah, but Clara, you have to remember they're not human. Even Wanda has become more than that. They can do things you can't. I saw you tonight, you did exactly what they told you. You weren't even scared. And you should have been."

Clara blinked. "I trust them. They've never let me down."

"Fine," Danny conceded. "But if they ever push you too far, I want you to tell me, because I know what that's like. You'll tell me if that happens, yeah?"

"Yeah," Clara agreed hesitantly. "It's a deal."

"No. It's a promise."

"Okay, it's a promise."

"Good," Danny nodded. "Because if you don't tell me the truth, I can't help you. And there might be a day coming when you realise you need that more than anything."
