The rebellion had failed before it had even started. As I watched Des enter, I was in disbelief, but I was not surprised. I had been worrying profusely and had assumed that the plan would meet a bump in the road at some point, but I did not suspect we would be falling at the first hurdle.

I stood up quickly and uneasily from my spot on the floor as Des continued to look at me with a grin on his face. Surprisingly Mya looked near enough unphased, a nonchalant expression on her face.

The laugh of Des Styles filled the room before he spoke, "What brings you here then Felicity?" The words rolled off of his tongue in the most condescending, derogatory tone possible and my heart leaped in my chest. This was it, any hope of rebellion, gone.

"I-I," I tried to speak but nothing comprehendable or meaningful left my mouth. I looked to Mya and a smile was etched on to her face as she walked over to Des and stood by his side. The realisation was suddenly blaring right in my face, Harry had been right. His suspicions, his seemingly unnecessary need for caution around the girl was all reasonable because she was in on it and it was so evident right now.

"So you did lie," I spat bravely.

She laughed at me. "Gosh, you're so gullible," she spoke.

I narrowed my eyes at her before replying, "I think you're just a very good liar actually."

"Well Harry must be a good one too, if he has you believing that he's worth a risk," she responded.

"He is." I shrugged, trying to keep my cool, despite the fact I was a raging mess of emotions inside.

"Whatever you say," she answered. I inhaled a sharp breath before Des stepped forward, allowing himself to be the one putting me in the firing line.

"You see Felicity, we know everything. This silly plan for rebellion, the secret little kisses in this very office and at the wedding yesterday and let's not forget the infamous time Harry actually snuck into the Lower Half when you were at the Medical Centre," he paused. "How is Zac by the way?"

I ignored his words. I refused to give into him, and more importantly I refused to be affected by him.

"You can ignore me all you like Felicity but you won't get away with this."

"I won't get away with it?" I laughed. "I'm not 5!"

"Maybe not but you do remember that video I showed you don't you? What happened to the couple on there?"

"You mean the video that was set up," I replied remembering Harry telling me that the video was to create fear, a form of propaganda if you like.

"Aw, Harry told you it was all set up. How lovely of him." He paused. "But just because it's set up doesn't mean it won't happen sweetheart."

"So do it then. Get it over with." As I spoke, I tried to avoid the tears that were threatening to spill from my eyes.

"That would seem far too easy."

He had me backed into corner. There was no way out of his interrogation, if you could even call it that. I was going to have to face the repercussions of everything that had happened between Harry and I. I wished he would get here to make this all a little easier for me, if he was here I'd be somewhat more comfortable and I know he'd do a better job at arguing with Des than I.

"You know Felicity, you sure seem to take on from your Father."

"Wh-what?'

"Don't you know about his scandalous affair?" he questioned, reminding me of my father and his past that my mother had informed me of recently.

"Yes, but that's irrelevant!"

He laughed, again. "Ah Felicity, so so defensive." He turned his head to Mya, "Get on with it," he demanded. What?

Mya moved over to me and took my arms, pulling them behind my back painfully. "Are you ready for this?"

"Well I don't know what it is you're going to do so no," I snapped.

"I think that's pretty obvious now don't you?" She sent her knee forcefully into the back of my leg, causing me to crumble slightly.

I could see Des watching with a smile on his face, the entertainment evident in his features. He may as well grab the popcorn.

"Don't sit there and smile!" I yelled, surprising myself. "You're such an idiot you can't even do it yourself! What is it? You're too scared to hit a girl?" I taunted. His face twisted with anger and he stood up, striding over to me. His hand forcefully gripped my chin.

"We're just getting started. Now keep it shut else this is going to be a whole lot worse," he spat and pushed my face out of his grip.

Mya's hands that restrained me, were let loose and I had a momentary sense of freedom. But this was cut off all too quickly as her grip moved to my hair, tugging harshly. She pulled me down to the ground and dragged me across the floor to where the sofa was. She pushed me slightly, but enough so that the back of my head hit the metal foot of the sofa forcefully. I winced in pain.

"Sorry," Mya mocked.

"It's a shame Harry isn't here? Isn't it?" Des spoke.

My head was still aching in pain, but I answered anyhow. "He'll come."

"Well, I don't know, he seemed pretty preoccupied when I left the party," Des responded.

"He'll come," I said convincing him and myself. I had no doubt Harry had every intention of coming, as far as he was aware the rebellion was still in plan. The only way thing that may prevent him coming is if something has stopped him.

"So do you love him?" Mya asked.

"What?" I asked confusedly.

"Do you love him?" she repeated.

"Why is that relevant?" Yes I loved him. I had not told him yet however and telling Mya didn't seem right.

"Just answer.. Do you love him?" she asked her tone demanding.

"I.. Yes I do love him." I answered and as if on queue the door opened slowly and Harry's figure appeared. When he looked up, his face portrayed the same shock that I had experienced at the sight of Des.

"Shit," he spoke under his breath.

"Ah, look what the cat dragged in," Des commented.

"What are you doing here?" Harry asked.

"Could ask you the same thing," he began. "But I was just paying a visit to Felicity over here. We've been having a little bit of a chat about you two." And as if he had suddenly been reminded of me, Harry's eyes scanned the room quickly and met mine. His face dropped.

"Fliss!" he exclaimed, walking towards me. Mya moved and stood in his way, trying to block him but his strength was more overpowering than hers and he pushed her out of the way with a mutter of the phrase; "Fuck off Mya."

"Are you okay?" he asked noticing the state of my body slumped on the floor.

"Yeah I'm fine, I just had a small bump to the head."

"A bump to the head?" he reiterated and then turned to Des. "You're such a prick! I hate you so so much. If you ever lay your hand on, or let someone lay their hand on her again I promise you you'll regret it."

"I'm your father don't speak to me like that," Des snapped.

"I'll do whatever the hell I like and as far as I'm concerned you are not my father!" he exclaimed and then turned to me. He pulled me up slightly so I was sitting upright and held me with his hand around my waist. I was relieved that he was here even though I feared for what was to come.
