A/N: wattpad is doing weird things I really hope it notifies about this update.
The day after receiving the note, I felt somewhat careless, particularly in my appearance and this was evident as I threw on the most comfortable of the clothes that I could wear and left my hair completely untouched apart from the run of a hairbrush.
I had made sure to keep the threatening note on me as I got ready to leave, intending to show Harry as soon as I could. I was unsure how things with Harry and I would be from now on. I had not seen him again yesterday after our argument in which he'd stormed out but I could not imagine he would ignore the note when I showed it to him. I assumed he'd act just as he had to the first one, and hopefully be as reactant to it as I had been.
Enduring the bitterly cold and windy wet weather, I hurried through the Lower Half and into the Halfway Point, straight through the Styles&Co building and up to Harry's office. Having expected to see him behind his desk as usual, I was surprised to see his presence was not there. He was instead stood infront of the same window I had often found myself peering out of.
He did not acknowledge the sound of the door closing behind me when I entered, he simply stood still and acted as if he remained on his own. Even though I could only see him from behind, he looked solemn. His posture appeared relaxed but in a stressed, hunched up manner.
"Hi," I hesitantly greeted, hoping he'd respond and come out of the trance he was in.
"Hey," he replied but did not turn around.
"Er... you okay?" I questioned.
"I'm just dandy Felicity," he replied sarcastically as he turned around. I sighed as he was evidently annoyed. He was using Felicity and not Fliss, the reality of what we'd agreed yesterday setting in.
"What's that?" he said, noticing the note that I had been holding in my hand.
"Oh yeah, that's the thing. Harry you need to see this."
He looked at me with a frown, before snatching the paper out of my hand. "It's Mr Styles to you," he muttered.
"Oh, alright then," I replied sadly. He was taking us back to how we were supposed to be. He was becoming strict, and I was becoming timid and inferior to him.
His eyes scanned over the note and he huffed, furrowing his brows. "This isn't important now is it?" he spoke sternly and strode across the room, tossing the paper into the bin.
"What are you doing?"
"The note is of no importance," he spoke and proceeded to open the drawers of his filing cabinet. "No one has anything to hide anymore? Right?" he asked looking at me intently before he pulled the Labour Room folder from his drawer and held it out to me.
"Get on with this will you?" he instructed, extremely impolite.
I frowned, "Why are you being like this?" I finally decided to ask him. He was still stood holding the folder out to me and as he listened to my question he simply looked at me nonchalantly.
"Felicity, just do it," he replied, with a sigh. I stared at him for a moment, my annoyance towards him increasing.
"Fine," I snapped sharply and took the folder from him before scurrying across the room and leaving with a slam of the door.
I was annoyed at Harry and the fact that he'd changed just because of what happened yesterday. I knew I'd told him we had to stop whatever it was we were doing but I in no way expected him to act so distant and so rude. I thought he'd at least show a little care that I had recieved another threatening note.
