Paralyzed (CITRUS AU)

Chapter 7

"Come on Mei! We're gonna miss the train!!" Yuzu yelled,

Yuzu and Mei were currently sprinting towards the train station, trying to catch the 12pm train to the mall. It was 11:57am now and they had to book it.

Yuzu was sprinting, while Mei was struggling to catch up to the blonde. Yuzu was wearing black jeans and a white crop top that didn't show too much skin, she had her hair curled and pretty. While Mei just wore her casual long skirt and sweater.

Thankfully they both made it on the train and they both sat down taking deep breathes.

"Gosh Yuzu! Why did you make us leave last minute!" Mei complained,

"Hehe... Sorry, I wasn't watching the time."  Yuzu said, with a smile that was so easy to forgive.

Mei blushed and turned away. She grabbed her sweater collar and pulled it in and out, trying to get some sort of way to cool her down.

"Remind me again, what time were meeting Taniguchi-san?" Mei asked, still slightly annoyed.

"Harumin? Um at 1pm. Why?" Yuzu asked,

"I get the mall is kind of far away, but did we really have to leave at 12?" Mei asked,

"Yeah! So we get their at 12:30pm and do our own thing, until Harumin gets there at 1pm." Yuzu said,

Mei shrugged and checked the time. It was 12:05 and the mall was multiple stops away.

Mei was extremely tired and she decided to put her head on a nearby arm rest. She was about to close her eyes until,

"Hey Mei, It's bad for your neck to bend your neck that low. Come here just lay on me. I'll wake you up when we get there" Yuzu said, not taking no for an answer.

Yuzu grabbed Mei's wrist gently and pulled her to where Mei was resting on her shoulder. Mei could inhale her scent this way. She smelled of vanilla and it was so addicting, and how much Mei hated to say it. She was enjoying her temporary head rest.

Mei mumbled a thank you. She closed her eyes trying her best not to think too much in the position she was in.

*time skip*

"Mei! wake up!" Yuzu said,

Mei shot up and mumbled, "Where are we?" while she rubbed her eyes with her wrist.

"We're one stop away from the mall. Just wanted to wake you early." Yuzu said,

"mm, thank you." Mei said while stretching and yawning.

The bus stopped and Mei and Yuzu walked together off the train and out of the station. Luckily for them the mall is only a couple of blocks away from the station.

While they were walking Yuzu said "Hey Mei? What type of books are you getting? I know they're literature books, but are they school related?"

"No, they're just books that I'm interested in.. It's called drama literature. You've probably seen me reading some a couple of times." Mei said,

Yuzu did recall Mei reading a lot. "Really? That's cool Mei. Are you thinking of taking a job related to drama literature in the future?" Yuzu asked,

Mei took a moment to respond but then said, "It's been something I've been interested for a while now. I may actually try to lead up to that."

"That's good Mei. It's admirable that you have something to look forward to. Unfortunately I have no idea what i'm going to do after high school. Their is not too much special about me" Yuzu said sadly.
