Mei's POV:

"Yuzu... Wake up." I softly said.

Yuzu stirred in her sleep and slowly opened her eyes. There was drool dripping down her chin.

"H-huh? W-what time is it Mei?" Yuzu asked.

"9:05 am... We have a date to go on remember? You said we would leave at ten." I chuckled.

"Oh shi-"

"Language, Okogi." I spat harshly.

"Haha! Sorry Mei, I'll go take a shower and get ready..."Yuzu sheepishly rubbed her neck, Yuzu went towards the bathroom and the door closed. You can faintly hear the sound of a shower starting.

"I wonder what we'll do today... She said she would plan everything... But I can't help but feel a bit useless." I wondered. I changed into what I decided to wear today. I decided to just wear my usual attire since it's most comfortable to me. It was just a long black skirt with a tan blouse.

"I know my attire is bland most of the time, but this is the uniform my grandfather wanted me to wear throughout most days... I guess I haven't had the chance to explore that type of subject." To be honest, I was nervous. She hasn't been on a date with another girl in years. If she did go on a date, they would be snobby boys that her grandfather set her up with. But as you can tell, it didn't really succeed... I faintly heard the shower stop and the sound of a blow dryer. The bathroom door opened and fog came out with the blonde coming out as well. Her hair was still lightly damp, and she had a towel wrapped around herself. I couldn't help but to gaze at the now visible parts of her body.

I blushed and stupidly thought, "The heck Mei? Turn AROUND!" I turned around and pretended to be busy with my clothes. I heard the rustling of clothes and a small hum of the blondes.

"Is she really getting changed behind me? Get a grip Mei Aihara!"I thought, the heat on my ears was flaming, pretty sure it was red as a cherry. I went to the door of our room and tried to focus my eye contact away from the blonde who was changing. I made it out of the room and inhaled deeply.

"Tsk"

Yuzu's POV:

"Hey Mei, how does a movie sound?" I excitedly asked, we were currently on our way to the train station.

"I haven't went to the movies since I was little. I wouldn't mind, though."

"Great! I know you aren't one for romances so how about a thriller?" I asked, Mei pulled a piece of her hair behind her hair and seemed to be lost in thought. I blushed at the view; she seemed to always look effortlessly beautiful.

"Do they have any horrors playing?" Mei finally responded,

"H-horrors?"

"My father allowed me to watch zombie horror movies when I was young. Although it wasn't suitable for my age, I enjoyed them a lot. It's the only fond memories of my father and I." Mei said,

"I absolutely am terrified of horror movies. BUT, Mei seems to like them so I'll watch it for her!" I thought.

I checked my phone to see if there were any zombie horror movies playing. "Fortunately there is a zombie horror movie playing right now. We can watch that, okay?"

Mei lightly nodded and we continued to walk to the train station.

"Hey Mei, how about those seats up there?" I asked, pointing to the row that was at the middle.

Mei eagerly walked up the movie theater stairs and sat down. "Hehe, that's cute... she's like a little kid."

I followed her and sat next to her. Mei always had a very monotone, stoic face. But right now you can see the faint excitement in her face. Her eyes were sparkling like a child, and she had a faint smile.

The movie started to play, and I inhaled deeply, trying to calm my nerves. We didn't buy too many snacks, just a small cup of popcorn and drinks. Mei thought the popcorn was too "greasy" for her taste.

Throughout the movie I tried my best to not show fear in front of Mei. In order to do that I simply closed my eyes whenever I suspected a pop up. Unfortunately, one caught me off guard.

"Eep!" I lightly yelled, naturally nuzzling my face into Mei's shoulder.

"Yuzu, do you not do well with Horror movies?" Mei whispered into my ear, I looked at her face and saw it was masked with concern.

"A-ah! Um, yeah I don't but I still like them! I wanted to make you happy Mei." I blushed, while still hiding my eyes from the screen.

Mei sighed and interlocked my hands with hers, "The scene is over. I'll tell you if there is an upcoming pop up." I blushed and nodded. I looked down at our hands laying loosely on the seat side bar.

"Thanks Mei."

"That was actually not bad! It was scary as heck but the story was good." I sighed happily as we walked out of the theater.

"It was very good, thank you Yuzu. Are we heading home?" Mei asked, I snapped my head at her and gasped.

"Of course not Mei, let's get some food at a cafe I know nearby." I stretched my back and interlocked my hand with hers once again.

As we walked, I couldn't help but ask a question. "H-hey Mei?"

"Hmm?" Mei responded,

"I-is it okay if I ask a question that's personal?" I stuttered,

"Of course Yuzu, I trust you." Mei said reassuringly,

"When's the last time you've seen your Father?" I asked slowly, Mei's hand tightened and loosened at the question.

"Now when I think about it... It's been quite some time. I don't think I've seen him in seven years... A part of me is angered that he can't even write me or reach out to me." Mei said. I tightened my grip to her hand and waited to respond.

"Maybe he soon will Mei? After all he went through all the trouble to reach out to my Mom and persuade her to let, you move in with us." I said,

"I-i hope you're right on that." Mei softly said, The cafe came into view and we walked in. Fortunately, it wasn't packed, and we had many tables to choose. We settled on a table in the back near a window.

"What are you ordering Mei?" I asked, wanting to order something similar so we can compare. I assume it's something very delicate and not overbearing to the senses.

"I'll get the clam chowder with a side of bread. What about you?" Mei asked, putting down the menu.

"And I'll get the lobster bisque with a side of bread. You can have some if you want." I said happily.

Mei nodded. "Did you purposely order something similar to me?"

"I don't know what you're talking about..." I said sheepishly.

Mei chuckled and stared out the window, her thoughts drifting somewhere.

As our food arrived, we both compared our dishes, surprisingly we both decided to switch since we liked each other's dish more than our own.

Mei's POV:

After we had eaten, we walked around and did some snooping around the stores. We didn't find anything worth buying but simply walking around with her hands in mine was perfect. I checked the time and saw it was 5:15 pm; it was starting to get dark as I looked at the sky.

"Hey Mei?" Yuzu asked, I was snapped back to reality and directed my attention to her.

"Yes Yuzu?" I responded,

"Do you wanna to go to this secret place I used to go to? It has a beautiful area where you can watch the sunset." Yuzu asked slowly, her fingers twiddling.

"I don't mind. But are you sure? It's your secret place after all." I said unsure.

"Of course Mei." Yuzu said.

The short bus ride to the secret place was very short, the bus stopped at a street with a hill. There was a small pathway up the hill, if you looked closely there was a shrine? When we walked up, I saw what the shrine was. I tensed up as I saw the writing engraved into the stone, "Okogi".

"Y-yuzu?" I stuttered.

Yuzu looked at me, she smiled and looked back down at the shrine. "Mei this is my Dad. Dad meet Mei, my girlfriend."
