Paralyzed (CITRUS AU)

Chapter 11

Mei's POV:

I woke up to the sunlight shining in my eyes. I groaned and went to turn the opposite way from the agonizing bright light.

Until i realized, I shot my eyes open, and looked at the clock.

"Shoot! It's 11:00am!" I internally screamed, realizing I have to meet Himeko at 12.

I shot out of bed, and ran to the bathroom. I took the quickest shower of my life, and went to get changed.

I put on my usual attire. A long gray skirt and a long sleeve sweater. 

"I'm going to need to get new clothes soon.. Not used to this warm weather." I thought,

I focused back on getting ready. I went to the kitchen and saw Yuzu making breakfast.

"Morning." I said hastily, while running around getting my stuff ready.

"Good Morning! Do you want breakfast?" Yuzu said,

"That sounds wonderful, but sadly i don't think i'll have enough time to eat it." I said, rechecking the time, 

"11:30am???!" I grabbed my phone and purse, then went to leave.

"I'll be back in a couple of hours! Sorry for the rush!" I yelled, before leaving at the door. 

I rushed down the stairs, silently cursing that our apartment is on one of the higher floors. I reached ground level, and started speed walking to the station. I scanned my train card and entered the station. I walked over to the board of train times and checked for the train I needed to go on. I saw one train that I needed to get to my destination. Fortunately it was coming in a few minutes. 

I sighed and went to text Himeko, 

"Might be a couple minutes late. Sorry for the inconvenience."

While I waited for the response, my mind wandered to Yuzu.

"I shouldn't have rushed like that.. It seemed kind of rude for not eating and giving her a short goodbye.. I'm going need to trade numbers with her soon. It'll be more easier to interact with her in situations like this." I thought,

I saw the train arrived and went to board the train. I sat down and heard a chime coming from my phone.

Himeko: "No worries! Be safe on the train!"

I smiled at the text, and looked out of the train window, My mind drifting to Yuzu, and my undeniable growing feelings about her.

*time skip*

I was approaching  my destination shortly. When it stopped, I got off and walked out of the station, I briskly walked toward Himeko's house per se a mansion. 

I approached her mansion and knocked on the intimidating large door. I heard footsteps coming from the other side, and was greeted with a short girl with curly pig tails. 

"Good afternoon Himeko," I greeted,

"Mei-Mei! Please come in!" Himeko replied

I graciously walked into the large house. I heard the door close behind me, Himeko walked with me to the living room where we both sat. She rang her bell chime, and I saw a maid bringing over some tea for us. 

"Are your parents home Hime?" I asked, while bringing the cup of tea to my lips.

"No, they won't be here until later on in the evening. Why?" Himeko asked,
