So I meet up at the designated location; the Grand Terminal. I was late because of my parents worrying over everything I brought so instead of the original plan which was to go to a drive-thru. My mum, dropped me off infront of the fastfood chain and I had to order whichever was the fastest thing available i.e a burger. I ordered as I keep frantically checking if my outfit looks weird to people because of all the looks I got. When I got my food, I ran outta the restaurant and back into the car as my mum started moving forward. We went into the Grand Terminal and met up with the rest of my school and teammates. We waited for the bus #6 as it was our bus, one by one the busses came with 10-20 minutes per bus to arrive. Busses 1-5 have arrived for the past hour and we were starting to burn up in the sun as it was already 9:30 am. Our bus came super late but out of the 6, it was the best one. We all ran desperately towards it wanting to sit down when we saw the bus but the bus doesn't have a luggage compartment underneath it like other busses, it had to be stored inside the bus itself. What's so problematic about this? Well we all have luggage that are fit for traveling the world, so we definitely cannot fit it with us on our seats. Luckily the bus has 2 levels and we placed our luggage on the 1st level and all sat down on the 2nd level. It was fun at first, not knowing what's to come. After a stop over and a few hours, we finally arrived infront of the school we were staying at. We didn't have a hotel planned for us but instead we just had to stay at some school near to where we'll be competing at. "Fine" I answered with dedication for I want to win this whole thing. We got off and were informed that we weren't supposed to stay there, the staff members hadn't heard that we'll stay over for the next 5 days but that wasn't an issue and we got a room to sleep in. We unpacked and I had training, well more like rechecking since tomorrow was my competition where as others were lucky enough to be either 2nd, 3rd, and or 4th day.
We trained and had to address some of our faults and we got significantly better now that we were all together again. The only thing I looked forward to was the "ALL DAY BUFFET" provided by the school. I leapt for joy when we finally ate dinner and thought we could go to sleep now but I gotta admit, I was really underestimating how hard it was to actually attend these 5 days of the competition. I was told about the specifics of how it was going to be there but I brushed them off thinking it was exaggerated. I was really naive and paranoid; competition is tomorrow and I need to get some sleep yet I don't know if I should sleep. I keep waking up an hour after, thinking I over slept but it was just my mind running around and making a clutter. I slept at 10 pm, not bad right? Well compared to when I normally sleep then 10 is considered early. Since there were too many people waiting in line to take a bath and yes, we only have 1 bathroom provided. Water was turned off at 9:30 pm and only brought back at 4:00 am but here's what grinds my gears, We have to leave by 5:00 am and I have to take a bath in between those two hours. I set an alarm for 3:00 am since I could be an hour early and be the first to take a bath; is what I planned for but my paranoia keeps waking me up and besides, the people I'm in between keeps moving like they have a seizure or something. I slept at 10:00 pm and woke up at 11:00, 12:00, 1:00, and 2:00, as of the moment writing this, it is 2:40 am and I have yet to sleep again. This has been the end of Day 1.
