Jason's POV

I closed my eyes briefly, leaning on the chair. I didn't sleep well last night since nightmares plagued me all night. And what Piper said also kept me awake for a long time. What if splitting up wasn't such a good idea? What if we were all making a big mistake, and we were falling right into Gaea's trap? I knew that I had to be sure with my decision, but I just couldn't decide.

"Hey Jason!" A voice called out to me, and I opened my eyes to see Hazel standing over me.

"Yes?" I murmured, standing up and stretching.

"When should we leave?" Hazel asked, and I looked at Hazel.

I could tell that she was really nervous about splitting up too. And since she was basically the leader of the group, maybe she was a bit afraid too.

"Um well....after I talk to all of you. Come on." I replied, walking to the table. Hazel followed right behind me.

Everyone else was already awake, and sitting along the table. Nobody was smiling or talking. They were just all sitting in silence.

When I entered the room, everyone turned to look at me. Hazel took a seat beside Leo, who flashed a grin at her.

I sat down at the front, looking at all my friends.

We worked together through everything. We had done so much and accomplished so much together. Was it really the right choice to split up, after all this time? Especially when Percy and Annabeth had disappeared?

"So when are we leaving?" Frank asked, breaking the silence.

"Soon...after this." I replied, taking a breathe. I noticed Piper smile at me encouragingly.

"So we're splitting up into two groups. We'll all meet back at the front of the House Of Hades. Hazel and Nico will lead us there." I paused, looking at Nico and Hazel. They both nodded.

"The group with Hazel will return the statue, and the group with Nico will....find other necessary stuff to do. We all need to stay safe." I continued.

"Of course we will!" Leo replied, which unfortunately didn't reassure me at all.

"Protect each other. We are all working together as one. We cannot afford to separate. We will all survive and make it to the House Of Hades." I stated.

Everyone else nodded.

"Let's do this." I finished, and to others cheered.

"Come on, Frank, Leo!" Hazel called out.

"No, we are going. Piper, Jason come on." Nico countered.

"Take care, brother." Hazel muttered, hugging Nico. Nico hugged her back.

"You too, sis." He murmured back.

"Take care." I saluted to Hazel, Frank and Leo.

"Bye." Piper said softly.

Nico just nodded, and waved.

Then, Leo surprised everyone by stepping forward and hugging Piper.

"Be careful." Piper muttered, and I couldn't help but smile.

Leo and Piper always got along, no matter how many arguments they got into. They did truly love each other like siblings. Annoying siblings.

"You too, Beauty Queen." Leo replied. And for once, Piper didn't protest Leo calling her that name.

They broke apart. I smiled at Leo, and waved farewell to Frank and Hazel.

"I'm scared. What if I'm not a good leader?" Hazel asked me.

"You will be a great leader. Just don't panic. Stay cool at all times. Don't e afraid to give out orders." I reassured her.

She smiled. "Thanks Jason."

"No problem." I replied.

"Bye Jason." Frank called out. I smiled and waved back at him.

Frank was always the one that I didn't really get to know that well, but he was still a pretty awesome person.

"Take care." Hazel, Frank and Leo called out one last time as Nico, Piper and I walked out of the ship.

"You too." We called out, and with that, the two groups separated.

The ArgoII flew up into the sky, and disappeared.

I looked at Nico and Hazel once the ArgoII had disappeared.

"What should we do in the meantime?" Nico asked, looking back at me.

"We go visit Olympus." I replied.

"What?" Piper asked, looking at me with a strange expression.

I had been thinking about what we should do once we separated, and I was sure now that we needed to meet the Gods and Goddesses.

"We have to go to meet the Gods and Goddesses." I rephrased my sentence.

"Why?" Nico asked, looking rather confused.

"Because. We need to tell them about our quest. What we plan to do. We can't keep what we're doing a secret." I explained.

"But I bet the Gods and Goddesses already know what we're doing." Nico pointed out.

"But I guess we need to tell them in person." Piper said uneasily, glancing at me.

I threw a thankful look at Piper, before turning back to Nico.

"Yeah, like Piper said, that's what we will do." I agreed.

Nico nodded. "Okay, sure. But how will we get there?"

"Um...flying horses?" Piper suggested, and I shot her a weird glance before realizing that she wasn't joking.

"Tempest?" I asked her worridly.

"I guess...."Piper agreed.

"Who's Tempest?" Nico asked.

"A horse that I befriended with a while ago." I replied.

"Tempest isn't exactly safe though...."Piper added.

"Oh um...."Nico trailed off, unsure of what to say.

"Tempest is safe." I countered, glancing at Piper.

She shrugged, and I raised my sword, trying to summon Tempest.

"What about Blackjack?" Nico suggested.

"Isn't that Percy's horse?" Piper asked, her voice catching a little at the mention of Percy's name.

"Yes." Nico replied.

"We'll figure it out." I replied dismissively, and looked up at the sky.

Piper and Nico copied my movements, and for a while, we were all looking up at the sky in silence.

That was before lightning started to rumble.

And the ground began to shake.
