Hazel's POV

So just when I thought my morning couldn't get any weirder, it did.

Right in front of my eyes, right after Amy was claimed, a girl appeared. Out of nowhere.

She looked at all the campers quickly. Her eyes were a clear gray colour. She wore a long, light blue and gray dress. The girl was rather tall, and had long dark hair that looked silky and smooth.

On one hand, she carried a white staff with a sapphire at the top. She wore a moonstone pendant on a white chain.

All the campers gaped at the newcomer in surprise. Whoever she was, there was no doubt about it that she was a Goddess.

Chiton finally knelt down. "My lady."

The girl turned to look at him with crystal clear gray eyes. A slight breeze started, and the girl frowned.

"Chiron, is it not?" The girl asked. She had a smooth and calm voice that almost sounded like Piper's voice when she was charm speaking people.

Chiron nodded.

The girl turned to look at the other campers slowly.

"You do not know who I am, do you? I am such a minor Goddess that nobody learns about me. They all learn about the mighty Gods and Goddess." The girl sneered.

"My lady." Jason stepped forward, politely bowing, "We do not know who you are. But if you were to tell us, we could learn and study about you."

The girl studied Jason intently. "A Roman.....son of Jupiter. Zeus." Se said bitterly.

"My lady, please, the name is all we require." Piper stepped forward to be beside Jason. She took Jason's hand.

"A daughter of Aphrodite. I approve of your mother, child. She is the only one I truly respect. At least, a little bit. Why should I tell you my name?" The girl asked. Her voice had turned colder.

The wind started to blow harder and harder. I shivered, and tried to get warmer. Leo, standing beside me, lot a small fire. I smiled gratefully at him, savoring the warmth before the fire extinguished.

"My lady, we mean no harm." Drew called out sweetly.

"That is what they all say. Before they betray you and leave you forever." The girl shot back.

I did not like the look of the white staff with the sapphire on the top of it. It looked rather dangerous.

"Please, tell us. We are trying to learn. And I am a roman." I begged.

The girl observed me coldly. "Back from the dead, I see. Fine, campers. My name is Lipse."

"Lipse?" A couple of boys echoed in disbelief.

Lipse sneered. "Laugh all you want. Without me, you would be nothing. Nature would be empty."

I frowned. Lipse reminded me way too much of the snow Goddess. Khione. They were both minor Goddesses. Both bitter towards the Gods and Goddesses. Both think they're so great......

"Are you working for Gaea?" I blurted out.

Lipse glared at me. Her clear gray eyes looked like they were about to burst into storm clouds. "I work for nobody, girl. I do things for people who respect me. Who don't scorn upon me, compare me to other minor Goddesses, or think that I'm a self-centered brat."

I flinched under her cold gaze. She could read thoughts!

"I used to be great. Gentle. Kind. Fair. But all that changed when the Gods and Goddesses suddenly decided that I was to be replaced with another God." Lipse spat out.
