Piper's POV
We've been wondering around the place for quite a while now, not really sure of what we were looking for. But where ever we were seemed really hot. Like burning hot.
Nico and Jason were talking about where the House Of Hades could possibly be. I didn't join in the conversation since I really didn't know where it was. Or where I thought it was.
I was gazing up at the sky. It was so blue and not a cloud in the sky. But the bad thing was that I was walking at the same time.
The worst idea ever.
What happened? I tripped over a rock.
"Piper! What happened?" Jason asked, stopping abruptly. They were talking behind me, and now they stopped beside me.
"I tripped over a rock." I mumbled.
"This one?" Nico asked, holding up a rock that was slightly bigger than my hand.
"I think so." I muttered in reply, getting back up with the help of Jason.
I could tell that Nico was trying not to laugh as he placed down the rock and looked at me with a amused expression.
"What?" I asked.
"You managed to trip over a small rock." Nico replied.
"I was thinking!" I replied, but I was starting to laugh.
Jason raised his eyebrows. "Thinking?"
"Yeah. While looking up at the sky." I admitted.
Jason and Nico started laughing, and I couldn't help but join in with them.
When we stopped laughing, I sighed. "Where are we?"
Nico shrugged. "I honestly don't know."
"You don't think that this is another one of Gaea's tricks, so you?" I asked Jason anxiously, but he didn't answer. He was gazing into the distance with a faraway expression.
"Jason!" I snapped.
Jason looked at me with a start. "Sorry."
"Do you think this is one of Gaea's tricks?" Nico asked.
Jason nodded slowly. "That's really likely. We've gotten nowhere. But if Rachel managed to get here, she's mortal is she not?"
I nodded in confirmation.
"Then if she got here then...." Jason trailed off, realizing what he was saying.
"How did a mortal get here?" I asked, starting to sound a bit nervous. Where were we, really? And was that really Rachel that told us the prophecy? Or another monster?
"Maybe she wasn't what it seemed." Nico suggested.
"But who was it then?" I asked in a whisper.
Nobody replied, because we all already knew the answer.
Another one of Gaea's tricks.
Jason finally sighed and looked up at the sky. "If only Thalia was here."
"Why?" Nico asked.
"She once told me that she could find out where she was by studying the sky." Jason mumbled in reply.
"Really?" I asked in awe.
Jason nodded.
"That's really cool but....we have no idea where she is." Nico agreed uncertainly.
"She's climbing a mountain." I added.
"Right. So nowhere here." Jason concluded.
I nodded. "So what do we do?"
