Kayleigh's POV
My heart was racing. It was time. Time for my punishment.
"What?!"
"Shut up." He said. "Luca take her to her room and prepare her." He ordered.
Luca followed his orders as he grabbed me by my arms.
"Let me go, Luca." I growled.
Leandro came marching towards me. "You've messed with the wrong one, butterfly. I'm done being nice to you. Know that from now on you're freedom no longer exists. You're freedom is gone. Forever." He said, his voice void.
I shivered at his words.
What did I do?
I shook my head furiously. I couldn't believe. I didn't want to believe it. Did I do this? Did I get myself into more trouble?
I believe you did. My subconcious said.
"Oh yeah. You better believe that. I'm not letting you go, not now, not ever." He said.
My head immediately shot up and looked him in the eyes. He had no emotion. He was not a person. He was a monster.
"No, no, no. NO!" I shook my head. "Why are you doing this? You don't know me! I have nothing to offer you! Just please... please let me go." I broke down, crying/sobbing, whatever you want to call it.
I was done hiding my feelings. I wanted to be in my father's arms again. I wanted to feel safe again.
Leandro laughed darkly. "Ooh, I just love it when people cry and beg me. Don't you love it, Luca?" He said, looking at Luca.
Luca just looked at the both of us and shrugged. I looked at him with disbelief written on my face. I thought he was gonna help me and protect me, but I guess I was wrong.
"Take her away."
And that's when I knew that I was going to experience the worst shit in this boring world.
I struggled getting out of Luca's arms. His grip was pretty tight.
He dragged me all the way to my room, not even sparing me a glance. He was pissed off, I could tell.
He opened the door and threw me inside the room. He slammed the door shut and stalked dangerously towards me.
He grabbed my hands again.
"Luca, you are fucking hurting me! Let me go!" I yelled in pain.
He just glared at me and threw me inside the bathroom. His face showed no emotion. He was not the same Luca I met a week ago.
"I thought you said you were gonna protect me, always. You lied." I murmured with teary eyes.
He laughed darkly. "I lied? I lied, Kayleigh?I WAS WILLING TO FUCKING TRUST YOU! HELL, YOU EVEN STARTED A FIRE THAT COULD HAVE HURT SOMEONE!" He yelled.
I jumped a little, startled by his reaction.
"I didn't lie about protecting you. But I don't protect people I can't trust. You betrayed us, Kayleigh. You betrayed me, Maria, Lorenzo and Emeliano! All we did was be nice to you!" He breathed out.
And that's when I realized that Luca wasn't just pissed. He also felt betrayed. By me.
"I am so sorry, Luca. I didn't think you would be hurt by my actions. I didn't think I was that important to you all."
He chukled. "You didn't think I'd be hurt. Are you joking me? Kayleigh, you are one special lady, you know that? You have something no other girl has. I'm not hurt, I just feel betrayed. I don't do well with betrayal."
