A/N: So, my dad asked to read my book and I almost died. I looked at him with wide eyes and said; "Papa, if you love me, you won't read my book."😂😂 Thankfully, it worked!😂💆🏽‍♀️ Btw, I wrote this chapter while watching television, so sorry if there are any errors.🤪

Anyway, carry on, loves!💃🏽

Kayleigh's POV

I kept looking at my sister every now and then, making sure she was still breathing. I looked at her sleeping figure as thoughts about today consumed me. After Lorenzo's threats, I made it my ultimate goal to stick with my little sister the whole time. I never thought Lorenzo would be that heartless. But I guess I didn't really know the guy. I mean, I've only been here for two weeks.

Now Leandro knew the secret about my mother, and now all I had to do was just wait and see what he would do. After Luca and Giovanni had informed us that Garcia had escaped, Leandro ordered us, the girls, to stay in the bedrooms for the whole night. Our dinner was brought by maids.

My thoughts went back to Leandro and I's conversation earlier. Maybe I was a little harsh when I spoke with him. But I needed him to know that I couldn't let anything happen between us. I needed him to get the message.

He seemed angry at me. He didn't even waste a second to glance at me. That same look that was in his eyes the first day we met, was there today again in his office. For some reason, I didn't quite like the idea of Leandro being angry at me.

Suddenly, my throat grew a little dry. I was thirsty but I knew I couldn't get out of the room. Leandro's instruction was very clear; do not come out of the bedrooms. I glanced at the clock on the wall. It was 2:15am.

Well, everyone's asleep at this time. I could just go and get water quickly.

I bit my lip, anxiously. I sighed in defeat as I got out of bed and slipped on my comfy slippers. I didn't even put on a robe. I just went out, wearing my cute onesie. I tiptoed my way down the staircase. I let out a breath of relief as I reached the last step without waking anyone up. I noticed that Leandro had sent most of the guards home.

It was awfully quiet but that didn't scare me; I was used to the silence.

I found my way to the big-ass kitchen. I didn't even turn the switch on. I opened the fridge and took out a bottle of water. Just as I was about to take a sip;

"Didn't I specifically tell you not to come out of the bedrooms?" A deep, familiar voice asked.

I gasped and jumped, startled by him. I cleared my throat. "Y-you did."

His shadows were casted across his face and majority of his body was submerged in the dark. A few rays of moonlight his bare chest, making me stare at it for a little while. His face was hidden from view, so I couldn't see him properly but I knew he could see me clearly.

He took a step closer and now, his lips and nose were caught in a ray of moonlight, allowing me to see him pulling his lips into his mouth. His lips reappeared, glistening. I stared at them for second.

"Then why are you out of your room, Ella?" He whispered.

I froze. Hearing him call me by that name, did something to me. I swallowed hard before I stared at my hands for a moment.

"Firstly; why are you calling me by that name? Secondly; I came to fetch some water. I was thirsty." I said, showing him the bottle of water in my hand.

He leaned forward. "Firstly; isn't that your name? Secondly; I can fix that problem for you." He brushed his lips against mine.

I furrowed my eyebrows, confused. My cheeks grew hot when I realized what he had meant when he said that. "Not that kind of thirsty, you pervert!"
