A/N: The past weeks, people have been fighting about racism, rape, women abuse. I'm a young black girl. It's hard to have hope that things will change when people who look like me are being killed because of their skin colour or their gender. Men, I want you to stop and think "What if this was my daughter, sister or mother?" before you lay a hand on any lady. Right now I'm speaking to all the racists out there, do you feel like we don't deserve to live or that we don't deserve good things just because of our skin color? Before you sleep I want you to think about one thing; we're all human, we were all made by God. #BlackLivesMatter #StopWomenAbuse #MelaninMatters #StopGBV #LetUsLive

Writer's POV

They all stayed silent. Starr's jaw dropped as she stared at her dad and uncle with wide eyes. Gabrielle was the first one who laughed, and her laugh held no humour. Kayleigh gave them a fake smile as she shook her head.

"Tell me you're kidding right now!" Gabrielle said, with wide eyes.

Lorenzo stepped away from her, she actually looked scary. The twins too were surprised. They were also only hearing about this now. Kayleigh's mouth opened and closed again as she tried to find the right words. She closed her eyes and inhaled sharply.

"So, you've been lying to us our whole lives?" She asked.

Andre, Gabrielle's father, gulped and turned to Kayleigh. "Yes, we did. But we did it to keep you safe."

Gabrielle scoffed and looked around the room. "Do we look safe to y'all? Why, dad? Uncle Mav?" She stared at them for the longest time ever. Her father even shifted, uncomfortably.

Maverick totally ignored all their questions as he turned to Leandro. "We need to talk." He said.

Leandro glanced at the watch that sat on his wrist. He bit his lip. "I'm sorry, Uncle Kev. But I gotta go to work. I'm running late as it is."

Maverick gave him a deadly look, one that sent chills down Lorenzo's spine. He was so glad that look was not directed to him. "I said we need to talk. Now." He said again, emphasising every word.

Leandro sighed in defeat. "Fine, let's go."

Leandro turned around and led the way to his office. Maverick, Andre, Lorenzo and Emeliano followed after. They reached his office and they all went in. Leandro sat in his big leather chair behind the desk.
Maverick unbuttoned his suit jacket before he sat down with a loud sigh. Andre did the same.

Lorenzo remained standing as he leaned next to the wall. Emeliano sat on the couch and stayed silent, waiting for them to talk. Maverick glared at Leandro.

"I'm going to ask you once again; why do you have my daughters?"

Leandro cleared his throat. "I kidnapped your daughter; Kayleigh. But I saved your niece and your other daughter, sir." He said. His voice didn't waver or anything. His expression didn't give anything away. He kept his expression neutral.

Andre chuckled darkly. "Why, Leandro?" Leandro turned to him, he could still feel Maverick's stare. Leandro's eyebrows furrowed. "Why did you kidnap Kayleigh?" Andre asked.

Leandro leaned back into his chair and sighed. "Because I felt like it." He shrugged.

Maverick tilted his head to the left. He slowly took out his gun and placed it on the table. Lorenzo and Emeliano were already on alert. Their hands were already on their pistols, ready to shoot if Leandro were to give them the order.
