"Hey Chris?" Amelia spoke as they pulled into her driveway

"Simon is in the past" she mumbled to herself but he heard it

"I know. It was just a question, I'm not into anyone right now" she finished smiling at him, She may have lied but she didn't want him to worry

"Good, I love you Lia" he said giving her a big hug

"Love you too Chris" she returned his hug with the same affection

"See you later" she said as she jumped out of the truck. (Look, She's short, there's nothing she can do about it okay)

he went into her house and her nose was immediately met with the smell of her mom's chicken curry, She went into the kitchen to greet her parents.
Her mother was wearing a long black dress with red heels and her hair was in a high elegant bun, Her father was wearing a black tux with black dress shoes and a red tie to match his beautiful wife

"All of this for a dinner?" Amelia asked as she raised her eyebrows

"No hon, We have a charity function we have to go to afterward dinner" her mother explained as she strained the rice

"Oh, Well you two look great" Amelia replied getting a bottle of water from the fridge

"How was your day love bug?" Her dad asked as he walked to the stove

"It was good, Did Chris tell you guys about the barbecue?" She spoke sitting down at the island across from her dad

"Tamara did, It's going to be fun, Aaron's coming back too...I remember you used to have such a crush on him" her mom finished as she sighe; Remembering the old days

"Yeah well i don't anymore" she mumbled thinking of Maddox

"Mhm, Sweetie go get dressed its 6:45"
