Special Chapter I

Sky Ysabelle

While the girls' department hosts a father-daughter ball, the other department holds a different event to support the charity our school has chosen to help. Our school is very different from other schools in soany ways. Not only our buildings but our classes as well are separated from the boys'. It's almost like an all-girls school except that it isn't. Pero I love how our school differs from the others kasi it's what makes special.

"You looked so pretty last night, Sky!" I hear my schoolmates say as I pass through their classrooms. Mine is in the third floor. Marami pa muna akong madadaanan before my own classroom.

"Sky Ysabelle! Ang ganda mo kagabi!"

There are few more that I hear but I choose not to show interest until someone shouts something else.

"Ysabelle, your dad is so handsome!"

Natawa ako. Well, it's not a big deal. It's just something normal. Daddy is really handsome. He has a perfect face. No wonder mom gets angry when other women are looking at him. It's not really the kind of anger where they end up fighting-it's just some cute petty fights.

"Sky." Salubong ni Dianarra pagpasok ko ng classroom namin. "I haven't got the chance to talk to you last night. You and your dad went home early."

"Yeah." I answer lazily. "Do you happen to see ate Kat passing by?"

"Oh? Katriona? No. It's weird nga to not see her eh. She's used to see you bago siya pumunta sa classroom niya, right?"

Ngumiti nalang ako't tumango. It is not that I don't like her. I just really don't like everyone. I don't want them to talk to me especially her. I have a feeling she just likes to be friend with me because of kuya DJ. I hate it when my classmates are shouting and giggling over my brother. It's annoying. They all look stupid when they do it.

But anyway, she is right. It's weird-bakit hindi na dumadaan dito si ate Kat? Although her classroom is situated in the fifth floor, she always drops by my classroom first for a small chat. Magtatampo na talaga ako kay ate. Last Sunday, she did not come over our house like she used to.

"Sky." Dianarra calls out to get my attention, waking me up from my senses. I smile awkwardly at her. "Are you okay? Do you like me to come with you and check on your ate Katriona? Puntahan natin siya sa floor niya?"

"No, thanks. Our class will start any minute soon." Pasimpleng sagot ko at inayos na ang mga gamit sa'king table. In my periphery, I can still see her watching me do my thing. She is so weird.

During our break time, I quickly look for ate Kat. Nagkasalisihan yata kami when I went to her classroom e, she's no longer there na. With a long face, I take the shortcut to route towards the school canteen which is very crowded as always. This is the time where girls have the chance to mingle with the boys from the other building.

"Sky!" I quickly look back as soon as I hear my brother's voice. Kuya DJ runs to me. "Why is Katriona not with you?"

"I'm looking for her nga eh." Sagot ko, naka-pout. "Kuya, do you think kuya JJ has something to do with it? Maybe, ate Kat is angry at him."

"That's for sure. Alam mo naman 'yong si kuya. Tch." Kuya DJ sighs and then shakes his head. "I will help you find her."

We separate ways and go to different directions in hope of finding ate Kat quicker. Just right when I pass through the benches adjacent to the quadrangle, someone suddenly hugs me from the back. At first, a smile slips on my lips, thinking that it's ate Kat. But no! It's not her perfume! What panics me most is recognizing it's a scent for guys!
