I walk into Deciet's room, my footfalls making soft splashes in the layer of water on his floor. I would find it odd under any other circumstances, but the water reflects the soft yellow orbs of light on his ceiling, which are the only light source, so I don't mind.
"Dee," I call.
"Yes?" Deceit replies, keeping his back to me.
"Have you noticed how down Morality has been lately? Cause I kinda feel like exploiting that. If Thomas won't listen to me directly, then I'll make him listen without realizing he's doing it. If you don't mind, that is." Deceit lets out an aggravated sigh, then turns his head to look at me, golden eye shining slightly.
"Since when did you ask me for permission?" he asks. I shrug, causing Dee to sigh again. He turns to face me head on. His brown eye reflects the golden light. "You have to remember that Patton is not just Thomas's moral compass. He is his emotion."
"Exactly why I think it'll be easy."
"Yes, however, it could very easily backfire. You know that Patton keeps some of his emotions away from Thomas, mainly his sadness. "
"Ok, yeah, but if I make it strong enough..."
"Well, I guess I can't stop you, can I?" Deceit mutters under his breath. "Move along, now. If you insist upon going through with this, better hurry up and strike while the iron is hot, as they say."
"'As they say'?" I repeat with a chuckle. "Since when did you become Logic?"
"I'm just trying to get into character!" Deceit replies a bit quickly.
"Yeah, sure," I reply sarcastically. "Anyways, I'm gonna head out now. Cya!" Deceit nods before turning back around.
