I stand in my room, waiting for Camden impatiently. Knowing him, he'll take a bit, but this is urgent and I can't—
"What's up?" I sigh.
"Don't be nonchalant," I reply, my words clipped and honest. "Why did you make him have a panic attack?"
"I mean, Par and I were really close, you know this," Camden says, his nerves evident in his voice. I scowl.
"Do not try to justify your actions, especially with that traitor." I spin around and, in a split second, am standing in front of Camden, holding up him by the collar of his black leather jacket. "Now, I will ask you one more time. Why. A. Panic. Attack."
"BecauseIdidn'twanthimtobewitheveryone!" Camden replies in one breath. I release him and he lands with a quiet splash. "I'm sorry, Dee, I just needed to get him away from everyone and that was all I could think of." Camden sounds genuinely sorry.
I sigh. "Next time, don't be so impulsive. You're dismissed." Camden leaps up and is clearly trying not to sprint as fast as he can as far away as he can.
I shake my head. Why are the other sides such imbeciles?!
"They're not, you're just too smart for them. Why are you still friends with them?"
Because one of them is my boyfriend.
"You mean the wackadoodle Creativity? He's probably the biggest idiot of them all!"
Yeah, but he's my idiot. Now, if you wouldn't mind, I have to be present in the world.
"Fine, fine, I'll leave you alone for now."
I sigh again. Having a voice in your head can be exhausting sometimes. "Is this what you're going through, Patton?" I whisper to my ceiling. There is obviously no answer. With a sigh, I decide to settle in for the night.
