"You got to be kidding me Hunter!"
"I'm not babe, it's all real."
"You bought me a freaking star!" I cheerfully exclaim.
He nods making me practically jump on top of him. We hug each other tightly, nuzzling my face on the crook of his neck.
"I'd figure if I bought you something so special I'd get to see that beautiful smile of yours, the one that lights up my world. Do you like it?"
"I freaking love it! It must've been expensive Hunter."
"Actually, it wasn't."
"It wasn't?"
"No, those were the best thirty dollars I've ever spent."
"Thanks, Hunter."
"Don't you think I deserve a better thanks?"
'Here it comes.'
I place my hands on his cheek pulling him in for a kiss. He immediately starts kissing back. This is the best feeling in the world. Its supposed to be like this, just me and him, forever.
After a good while we pull away to catch our breath.
"I love you, Hunter." I say breathlessly.
"I love you a lot."
"I love you more."
"No, I love you more."
"Impossible because I..."
"We get it! You two love each other! Now look for your damn star already." An all too familiar voice says.
"Ivan?" Hunter questions while placing me on his lap.
"You two didn't think you were the only ones that were going to have a romantic weekend, did you?" He says and that's when I noticed a girl sitting by him.
"This is my girlfriend, Ellie."
She smiles at us, stretching her hand for me to shake.
"Nice to meet you, Ronnie." She happily greets.
"What are you doing here?" Hunter asks Ivan."
"You see, our lovely mother didn't trust two hormonal teenagers to be left on their own like nothing."
"Hormonal? Me?"
"We weren't going to do anything anyway." I say, angry that Marilyn would think something like that. I just barely got back yesterday and she already thinks I'm going to lose it easily to Hunter.
"She's just looking out for you." He says.
"Looking out for me? My virginity is for me to worry about. It's not anything she should be worrying about plus I'm eighteen, free to make my own decisions."
"Still the little feisty girl are we?" Hunter whispers in my ear.
"Let's change the subject. I don't want to be in a bad mood."
Everyone nods in agreement, even Ellie.
"How did this happen?" Hunter asks, pointing to the both of them.
"It started about a month ago." Ellie says.
"Yeah, she was drowning in the ocean, so of course I couldn't let a beauty like her go to waste. Afterwards, she fell for the guy who saved her." Ivan says.
"That was a boring story."
He was about to speak up, but the familiar strumming of a tune distracted me.
