Third day at the condo.

Jonathan was all business when it came to the band. He already had me singing a whole bunch of songs he wrote himself. He had us practicing since 10 in the morning till 11 at night. By the end of the day my throat started to hurt a bit. I'm sure that Andrew had some blisters on his hands from banging on the drums all damn day.

"You sang your heart out." Jonathan says passing me a warm cup of lemon and honey tea, to help my sore throat.

"Did I sing good though?"

"Of course you did!" Andrew shouts picking me up, bridal style, running into the room where I was staying in.

"Get changed, we're all going out for some late night swimming." He says.

"In the beach?" I ask.

"No, with Jesus Christ himself." He says sarcastically.

"But it's too dark out, the crabs will bite our toes."

"Stop being such a wimp and change already."

"Fine then, get out."

As soon as he steps out my phone started to ring. I quickly answer, putting it on speaker so I can change at the same time.

"Hi, Hunter."

"Hello, beautiful." I hear the voice that I missed so terribly much.

"Today we had our first rehearsal."

"How was it?" He asks.

"Fun at first, but Jonathan had us practice for fourteen hours straight."

"Practice does make perfect."

"It does, so how are you?"

"Good, the apartments almost done and on Monday I'm starting college."

"That's awesome."

"Talking about college, what's this your mom told me that you aren't going."

"That lady can't keep her mouth shut for nothing."

"Veronica." He sternly says like a parent scolding their child.

"College isn't on my list of life achievements."

"Then what is? Where do you see yourself in ten years?"

"Did you call to check on me or to talk about the future?"

"Answer my question."

"Public school sucked a lot, the years I went, even homeschooling was horrible. Now that I graduated, they expect me to do more time? I'm done with that. I'll be fine without college. Jonathan and the others, they make real good money with their career, I will too. You go and make something out of yourself, Hunter, you're really smart. I'm pretty sure you'll do fine. There's no need to worry about me."

"Veronica?"

"Yes?"

"Do you see yourself with me in the future?"

"I see us together forever. Why do you ask?"

"Just making sure because it sort of sounded like you were breaking up with me."

"What?"

"I sound like a girl, don't I?"

"Not at all. Can I tell you something though?"

"Anything beautiful."

"I think it will be impossible for me to leave you. Wanna know why?"

"Why?"
