My first night here was horrible. All you hear is screaming and crying. I wanted so badly to scream 'shut up', but I had to stay calm so I can leave in good behavior.
A loud bell goes off waking me up. I stretch and look over to Alicia. She was already awake, neatly fixing her bed.
I check my schedule. Shower time 7:00 - 8:30.
I get up, going to the neatly organized closet, pulling out the first dress I lay my hand on. Afterwards I pull out my suitcase from under my bed to get my shower stuff and toothbrush. When I was all ready I go to the door to leave.
"Hey!" Alicia shouts.
"What?"
"Please fix your bed."
'Damn it, I forgot about her disorder.'
"I'm sorry." I mumble fixing the bed.
"Please place your pillow in the middle." She says.
"Okay."
"Can you pass me your suitcase?"
I pull it back out from under my bed.
She opens it, taking my books out. I watch as she organizes them by size, placing them on the shelf. She then pulls out my other stuff and organizes them also, placing them on top of the drawers. When she's all done, she places my suitcase neatly next to hers in the closet.
"I'm sorry you got me as a roommate." She mumbles.
"It's okay Alicia, I don't mind one bit." I say placing my hand on her shoulder, but she flinches so I pull away.
"When you come back into the room, please put your stuff away neatly."
"Will do."
I finally leave and go to the showers.
By the time I finished showering a bell rang for breakfast, so I made my way to the cafeteria. I sit in a random table not bothering to sit with anybody. Someone places a plate of eggs in front of me. I hate eggs.
"You have to eat." A security tells me.
"But I don't like eggs."
"You have to because after this you have to take your medication."
"Fine." I say grabbing the plastic spoon. I fought the urge to throw up. As soon as I finished the bell rang again.
All of the patients, including me, line up in front of a window with a nurse on the other side. The girl in back of me pushed me all of a sudden. I turn around to tell her something, but she fell to the ground and started shaking.
'What the hell?'
Suddenly white foam starts coming out of her mouth.
"She's having a seizure!" Someone shouts and a couple seconds later three nurses come to take her away.
"Next!" An annoying voice says.
"Hey! You're next!"
But I'm frozen looking at the spot where the girl fell.
A security shakes my shoulders lightly.
"You okay?" He asks.
"Is she okay?" I ask back.
"What?"
"The girl, damn it! Is she okay?"
"She'll be okay, but for now please take your medication."
I turn around to the glaring nurse.
"Name?" She asks with attitude.
"Veronica Diaz."
She leaves then comes back with one little cup filled with 3 pills and another filled with water.
"Open your mouth." She orders after I take them.
I do as I'm told.
"Let me see the bottom of your tongue."
I show her.
"Okay, go to class."
I see Krystal in the hallway.
"Hello, Veronica. How are you?"
"Where's my class?" I ask not bothering to start a conversation.
"Let me walk you." She starts leading the way.
I wish I was at home with Lisa teaching me instead of being in a class with a bunch of strangers.
When I enter I see some people talking or some keeping to themselves.
"Find yourself a seat and good luck."
I sit in the middle. Hopefully nobody sits here.
The bell rings again. A man comes in, closing the door.
"Quiet down now students." He says, sternly.
"Fuck you, Mr. White." The boy next to me says.
"Andrew, you just got out of the white room, don't make me tell them to send you back."
The boy Andrew stays quiet.
"I was told we were added a new member to our family. Veronica Diaz, where are you?"
I nervously raise my hand up which lead to everyone turning to face me, making me blush.
"Welcome to my class. I'm Mr. White." He says.
"So today we'll be learning..." Mr. White says, but I drain his voice out.
The boy next to me kicks my desk, getting my attention.
"As a member of this oh so happy family I'd like to formally introduce myself."
He takes out his hand.
"I'm Andrew Garcia."
"Ronnie." I reply, shaking his hand.
"So what you in here for, Ronnie?"
"Andrew, be quite." Mr. White says.

Four horrible hours later.
Being in the same class with the same people is so horrible that as soon as the bell finally rang indicating lunch time I practically ran out of the room.
I ended up sitting by myself again. Somebody placed a plate of spaghetti in front of me.
I look at the person sitting alone at the table next to mine. It was Alicia. She's fixing her utensils placing them in proper order.
I quietly eat alone until it was time to go to the other room for free time.
When I enter I immediately go to sit next to the stereo. The music mostly consisted of songs from an earlier generation.
"You like this junk music they play for us?" The boy Andrew asks sitting by me.
"This music is legendary you should treasure it because most of the music now is junk."
He was about to change it, but I slap his hand away.
"Don't you see me listening to it?"
"But I don't want to hear it."
"How about you go back to your friends."
"It's okay. I came to hang out with you."
