<D Hale>
I am sorry to be texting you right now. I know you are at work.
Stiles got his phone taken away, and the teacher texted the first contact on the list. That would be me. I'm supposed to tell you that the teacher will meet with you after school if you want to get it back.
<Sheriff>
Okay, son. Thanks for letting me know. Would you mind contacting someone to tell Stiles that he's not getting his phone back today? I will schedule a meeting on my own time.
<D Hale>
I'll do that right away, sir.
<Sheriff>
By the way, why were you the first contact on his list? Wouldn't "Danny" come before "Derek"?
<D Hale>
That would be assuming he listed us as "Derek" and "Danny". You know Stiles, he has a nickname for everyone.
<Sheriff>
What is your nickname, if I may ask?
<D Hale>
He has several. "Sourwolf" is an old one, I know at some point he's had me as "Alpha Grumpy Guy"... There's an abundance of names. Who knows?
<Sheriff>
I am sighing internally and shaking my head right now.
<D Hale>
Well, I'll go notify Lydia, or someone, to tell Stiles.
<Sheriff>
Thank you, son.
<D Hale>
No problem. Goodbye.

A/N: OMG Derek's behavior change when he talks to Stiles' dad!!!!
He words things differently, he talks like a good little obedient soldier boy and not like a scary rebel in a black leather jacket, and he even types all of his sentences out with perfect grammar;
1) to impress Stiles' dad and look educated and worthy to date Stiles.
2) to hide the fact that Stiles has changed him so much, which is not a "friends" thing when it comes to Derek.
I love how he won't even tell the Sheriff they're dating until Stiles gives the "ok".
Sorry, I don't mean to sound stuck up, like I'm complimenting myself. I honestly view the characters to be making their own choices and speaking their own words, not my words or choices.
Anyway, lots of love,
Xoxoxoxoxoxo
