John, Thomas, Adalie...

I run out of the room, down the hallway and into my room. I try to catch my breath, processing what I saw.

Tubes

I sit on my bed, hugging my knees and rocking back and fourth. I saw them. John, I saw John, I saw Thomas, and Adalie. I saw them, they had tubes coming out of their arms. Red tubes.

Blood

I try and organize my thoughts. They were right there.

Wires

There were wires attached to their chest and head.

Water

They were in a tank full of water. How could they breathe? Are they dead?

I stand up, pacing around my room, when I notice a sticky note on the wall. I peel it off and hold it in the light.

They are alive, for now, you need to help them. - D

I lay down on my bed, tears streaming down my cheeks. My head, pounding. I close my eyes.

~~~
The light in my room blinds me as it turns on. I walk into the tiny bathroom me and Adalie share and change my clothes. Adalie... I slide open the curtain separating the bathroom from the rest of the room and notice she is gone. Along with all her bedding.
It wasn't a nightmare. It was real.
I finish pulling up my shorts and look in the mirror. I look rough, dark circles around my eyes along with puffy bags under them.
I notice a sticky note on the wall. It reads:
If you want to survive you have to trust me, you can't tell anyone about me or what you saw last night. - D
I take the sticky note and slide it in my pocket. I make a mental note.
Step 1: Tell Cameron
Step 2: Find out who D is.
I splash a handful of water on my face and look up at myself in the mirror. A few stray tears threaten to escape from my eyes. I dab them with a cloth, leave the bathroom and walk into the hallway.
I walk to the med counter. The nurse puts a few pills in my hand, I remember the sticky note from last night. I slide them all under my tongue.
"We are trying a new medicine, so take this one as well." She says, smiling. She places a small green pill in my hand then hands me a cup of water.
I slide the green pill under my tongue along with the others, take a gulp of water and smile.
I walk alone towards the cafeteria. Stopping at the washroom along the way to spit out the pills. After I finally reach the cafeteria I notice Jillian sitting at one of the tables. He smiles up at me as I approach the table.
"Where is Adalie?" He asks, in a weirdly good mood.
"She, Thomas and John are being held captive. We need to help them!" I whisper, only loud enough for him to hear.
"Adalie too?!?!" He exclaims. "I thought she knew better." He scowls.
"Jillian, I found them. They are trapped in a room. We need to help them!" I exclaim, a little louder than before.
"Chloe, they are being punished for revolting against the Peace Makers. You can't help them, they did this to themselves." He scolded.
D warned me about telling Jillian, he was right.
"You are right. I shouldn't have thought to help them." I had to earn his trust, and more importantly keep him from telling someone that I knew what they were doing.
I need to move onto step 2:
Finding D
