Ch. 11 "I promise"

Zoey POV

"Zoey listen to me, you need to let us help you," Bucky said

"No, you need to listen to me! I don't need help and I don't care what you or anybody else thinks, so stop following me I can take care of myself!" I said grabbing my backpack jumping out the window

"Zoey!" I heard both Bucky and Cap yell

I start running as fast as I could only to be tackled to the ground I look up to see Iron man,

"Got yah kid," He said

I smirked kneeing him where the no man likes to be hit, he rolled off of me, I got up grabbing a trashcan lid I kicked him in the chest making him fall to the ground, I hit him upside the head with the trashcan lid, my breath ragged,

"Is that all you got? I can do this all day," I said

Iron man talks in his wrist,

"Now," He said

I hear someone land behind me a woman with red hair and a man with a bow and arrow,

"We don't want to hurt you," The woman said

"Then stop following me,' I said glaring

she throws a punch at me only for me to catch her fist in my hand, I end up flipping her on her back, the man with the bow rushes at me but I end up drop kicking him in the head I took that as my chance and ran only to be tackled to the ground yet again by a huge guy with blonde hair,

he had me in a bear hug,

I kicked my legs trying to struggle,

"Let me go!" I said but he was no match for me,

"Calm down, I will not harm you," He said

I still continued to struggle,

I see some of them rushing to us,

"Good job Thor," Iron man said

my hair flinging as I continued to struggle

"You know you can't escape Kid," Iron man said

"I can try!" I said

I try to elbow Thor but he catches my arm,

"Zoey, we are not gonna hurt you," Bucky said

"Then let me go!" I said panicking

I felt a pinch in my arm, to see that red head stuck me with a needle

Dam it! I could feel my eyes getting heavy my vision getting blurry but I shook it off I brought my head forward head butting Thor causing him to loosen his grip,

I ran as fast as I could, after a little bit I'm leaning against a wall my vision getting blurry,

"Come on Zoey shake it off," I mumbled

I slide down the wall that I'm sitting, I see two blurry figures,

"I just want to go home," I mumbled then everything went dark,

Third Person POV

Steve and Bucky find Zoey sitting against a wall the drug Natasha gave her evidently kicking in, Her head leaned against the wall she looked into Steve's eyes tiredly,

"I just want to go home," She slurred as she fell asleep,

Steve POV

I look at Bucky, he nodded towards me, I walk towards her I pick her up, she surprisingly light,

"Don't worry I'm gonna take care of you I promise," I whispered

with that we walked up to the rest of the team,

"Man didn't think the kid was that strong," Clint said rubbing his head

"Yeah she really did a number on all of us," Tony said limping

"Let's just get back to the tower," I said with that we all made our way back to the tower
